Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Anything could win this maiden. (10) NAMSAN MINYEO was a fair 5th on debut over this distance on July 19th, racing handy throughout. She previously showed well in a trial and with some natural improvement has as good a chance as any at probably an each-way price. (4) RAON THE BIG RED did nothing on debut but since has a 3rd and a 2nd. He was well beaten by a good winner having led in the latest of those but won't need to improve much to be very close here. (11) JEULGEOUN SANGSANG also has a 2nd place on his resume and most recently ran 4th at 1300M on July 26th. He'll be in the mix again. (9) EAST SKY and (8) JILPUNGA are among plenty of others in with a chance.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only. After a decent trial, (8) VOSTOK ran 4th on debut over 1200M on July 19th, settling back and running on strongly. She should have come on for that run, the step up to 1400M can suit, and she is the one to beat. (6) BLACK SUN similarly hinted at ability on debut, in her case over 1000M on July 12th. She was doing his best work late and with some natural improvement, she can get closer this time. (9) FOX TROT is more experienced with nine races in the bank. Her latest two have been her best with a 3rd and a 5th and tackling the 1400M for the first time, she can keep that momentum going. (1) SPICE BAND and (7) AMENO, the latter a last start runner-up, are others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) MIGHTY BOM is yet to win in eighteen attempts, but he has no fewer than ten top three finishes, and his recent form reads very pleasingly. He has placed on all three tries at this distance and new overseas rider Diego De Gouveia has a chance to break his Korean maiden here. (9) WORLD JOY does have a win to his name and has also performed well around two turns. In this company he can settle just behind the speed and can be a big danger late on. He will though need to overturn the form on (11) GRATITUDE, who ran 3rd to World Joy's 5th when they met at this class and distance on July 13th. Gratitude has subsequently put in a disappointing effort but is not to be dismissed. (5) YEONGWON GIANT and (6) STUNNING SERVE among others to consider.

Busan Race 1: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) SHACKLE LAUD finally got off the mark at start eleven on July 20th when handy throughout and running on. The win had been coming, and it was at this class and distance so while he is up 3.5kg in weight, there is no reason why he can't repeat today. (2) CHEONHAJIYU is yet to win in eight attempts but has placed twice at this distance and enters off a fair 4th on August 1st. He draws well, an in-form Franco is on, and he can be a danger. (7) HAEUNDAE POWER was a winner on debut on May and has since run 2nd and 5th in two tries at this level, beating Cheonhajiyu in the former. He'll be on pace and can be in this a long way. (5) ROAD TO WIN and (6) KWAEHAN YEONGUNG, the latter a bit of a wildcard as he returns from over a year out, others to look out for.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(2) KING WARRIOR got his sole win to date three starts back but has since managed a 3rd and a 2nd in two tries at this class over 1400M and 1300M, leading for much of the way both times. He draws nicely to get a soft run to the lead and while he carries his fair share of weight, he can win. (7) NAMCHON TOWN returned from seven months out to score his maiden win over 1200M on July 6th. He is up in class but down in weight and stripping fitter for that run, he can measure up in this company. (3) HANEUL GAMDONG enters off back-to-back runner-up finishes at this class, coming from well off the pace both times and he can be running on again. (11) LASER RUN and (9) ÉCLAIR can also have a say.

Busan Race 2: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) TUHON FIGHTER was a good class and distance winner on July 13th, taking things up at the top of the straight and running on strongly. She is only up 2kg in weight and in tis company, she can win again. (1) LADY OF WIN took just two goes to be exactly that, scoring over 1200M in dominant fashion on July 11th. She is up in class here but down in weight, Seo Seung-un gets on, and the manner of that win suggests that she can more than measure up at this level. (8) SEUNGNI CHANSA was a somewhat unexpected maiden winner at a mile on July 18th. He carries a feather weight here and can be in the finish. (5) SEOBU CAPTAIN and (2) OAK RIDGE are the other main chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(9) TAPDINE will be a warm favourite. In six starts he has two wins and four 3rd place finishes with his latest of the latter coming at this class and distance on June 29th when he was slow away but ran on very well. He continues under a lightweight with Moon Se-young on, and with a better start, he can win. (6) MISS CONCORD may not win out of turn, but she enters off back-to-back runner-up finishes at this class and distance, settling back and running on both times and she can be a threat again. (5) LOVE COWGIRL, similarly, was 2nd last time out at this class and distance. She is one of the probable pace setters and can be in things a long way. (2) NAMSAN MUJEOK and (4) MK LEE others in the hunt.

Busan Race 3: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

We'll take a chance on (1) BARAMBARAM to return to form here. He won a Trophy race back in April but then didn't run again until July 4th when slow away over 1400M and finishing 7th of eleven. He should strip much fitter for that run and while he carries plenty of weight, he is a two-time winner at this distance. (5) HUIMANG CANDY is the danger and probable betting favourite. She too has won twice at 1800M and should benefit from returning to it following a 3rd place at a mile last time out. She gets 6kg from Barambaram. Those two are the standouts although (2) GUKDAE STAR is better than his latest effort suggests, and he too has won twice at this distance. (6) DEMON SPY and (8) AREUMDAUN INYEON others in line for the minors.

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(10) USEUNG JINLI races for the first time in April when he was an all the way winner over this distance. He missed most of June and July through lameness but has been back in full work since the end of last month and while he hasn't trialed, he has plenty of ability and has proven able to run well first-up in the past. (4) QUEEN DIA was a class and distance winner on June 21st when ridden much closer to the speed than usual. She is up 3.5kg in weight but with similar tactics here, she can repeat. (6) DALMAJI beat a couple of today's rivals on his way to a class and distance 2nd on July 12th and he can be in the mix again. (11) DAEBAK STAR and (7) LEGAL HIGH other placing chances.

Busan Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(7) POWER STONE has a 3rd and a 2nd from two starts so far, both at this class and distance, first from off the pace and then from handy. Expect the latter today and potentially peaking fitness wise third up, he can win. (4) ILLUSION is yet to win in ten but her latest was her best when 2nd at this class and distance on July 20th, racing handy and briefly striking the front in the straight. Tanaka stays on and she should be close. (2) JUST SHINY beat Power Stone two starts back when they ran 2nd and 3rd at this distance and while he was disappointing on his return on July 13th, he draws better this time and can be a danger. (10) DOCTOR CARA and (1) WONDER MOCCASIN should also be in contention.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(10) SSOARA STAR has only missed the top four on one occasion and has a 2nd and a 4th in two tries since being promoted to this class. Both his wins were at this distance, and he likes to come form off the pace so the wide draw should be no problem. He is the one to beat. (5) CYCLONE STAR has won his latest three, all at this distance to get rapidly promoted two classes. He doesn't get much of the way in a weight break but Kozzi, who is three for three on him, stays on and he can measure up. (7) YESULIYA has placed in each of his latest three, all at this class, and he can be there or thereabouts again. (4) HANAM ELDORADO and (11) COMPLETE PARTY are the other main chances.

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Since returning from eight months out, (3) UNION CHAMP has won two out of three starts most recently at this class over a mile on July 13th. She comes up 3.5kg in weight today, as well as up to 1800M for the first time, but neither should be an issue, and she is favoured to win again. (2) DIA GRIT beat a couple of these on her way to 3rd place at this class and distance on July 11th. She now has three placing at 1800M and can be in the mix again. (10) GREAT BOY has perhaps even more aptitude for the distance with a win and three placings among eight tries at it. They include his latest on July 20th when 2nd, ahead of a couple of today's rivals, and while he has his fair share of weight, he can be in the finish. (11) SKY SHOT and (7) INDY GHOST others to consider.

Seoul Race 8: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / Rookie Stakes @ Seoul / KRW 150 Million

The first big race of the year for the juveniles and seven of the ten are already winners. The favourite will be (9) CHIEF STAR, a filly who was super impressive on debut at this distance on July 19th, leading all the way and scoring by a lazy seventeen-lengths in a time a second-and-a-half quicker than any of the others here have managed. (6) AIRFORCEONE took two goes to break his maiden but was impressive when he did on July 12th. He shapes as a danger here. So too (4) NAOL PASS, a front running winner over 1000M on debut on July 12th. Moon Se-young stays on and she will have plenty of backers. (1) UNIVERSAL and (5) WONPYEONG SKET are perhaps the next furthest along at this stage but as we all know, the juvenile division can change very quickly.

Busan Race 6: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / Rookie Stakes @ Youngnam / KRW 150 Million

(5) WILD PARK was a winner on debut over this distance in June leading all the way before running 2nd to an experienced older horse at class 5 level on July 20th. He shapes as the furthest along of these juveniles and Seo Seung-un staying on cements him as the favourite. There are three debut-makers and among them (6) PORT MORE looked very accomplished in his trial, leading all the way around and stopping the clock in a time that would win plenty of five-furlong races, and he can be given a chance. (7) SUPER AERO was an on pace winner on debut over 1000M on July 4th and with some natural improvement can be in the finish again here. (3) STRAWBERRY QUEEN and (4) CRYSTAL MULGYEOL debuted together and while neither won, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively, both can have come on for the run.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) ECLIPSE BLACK finished a creditable enough 7th of thirteen in the final leg of the Triple Crown over 2000M in June before being a beaten favourite in 5th on July 13th at this class and distance. He won over 1800M in May, and he should be favourite to return to winning ways today. (5) LUCKY BOOM beat three of these on his way to victory at this class and distance on June 28th, coming from well off the pace. He is up 2.5kg in weight but can be in the finish again. (1) SUPER THUNDER was one of those behind Lucky Boom in that race, but he has since run 2nd at the same class and distance on July 27th and he can be in the mix here. (7) TINA K and (4) K N TIZWON can also be considered on a place line.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(5) TRAUM KING was a winner at this class and distance on June 29th, racing handy throughout. He is up a full 5kg, but the manner of that win suggests there can be plenty more to come. (3) MIGHTY TAP hasn't won for a long time, and he was 5th to Traum King's  3rd at a mile in June. He came back out on July 5th and was a front-running 2nd at this class and distance and from a good draw, he should lead again and could potentially go all the way. (10) JEONGWOO FOREVER enters off back-to-back 2nd places at this class and distance and while he is another who carries his fair share of weight, he is another who can be in the finish. (11) SAENAE POWERFUL and (1) EFFEL TAP others who may enter the calculations.

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(6) GWANAKSAN O TWO is a winner of two of his last three, most recently at this distance on June 8th when he led all the way around. He comes in fresh after ten weeks out and while he is up in class, the dominant nature of that performance, suggests that there is more to come. (5) SMILING PRINCE was 2nd in that June 8th race before getting a win of his own at class 4 over 1200M on July 6th. That brings him also up in class, but he is down a full 5kg in weight, and he can measure up. (4) RAON TAP PLAY won very pleasingly at this class and distance on June 29th, showing close to the pace throughout. He goes the other way with a 5kg weight rise, but he warrants respect. (9) NAEGILUI WINNER and (2) ENDING FIRE others in the hunt.
