Busan Race 1: Class 6

Juvenile maiden fillies in the owner with nine of the twelve racing for the first time. (8) FLY TO THE MOON led on debut over this distance on September 27th, ultimately running 5th. She should have come on for that run and makes a quick return with every chance of coming out on top. (12) HWARYEOHANJOMYEONG was 2nd on debut over this distance on August 18th before tackling the Gangseo-Gu Mayor's Trophy over 1200M on international day on September 8th when she stumbled and lay in and was never a factor. In more amenable company, she can be given another chance. (1) NAKDONG MYEONGJAK won her trial leading all the way and that puts her automatically in the frame first-up from a good gate. (2) QUEEN TYCHE and (11) SUCCESS GOLD other newcomers who hinted at ability in their trials.

Selections   (8) Fly To The Moon (12) Hwaryeohanjomyeong (1) Nakdong Myeongjak (2) Queen Tyche

Busan Race 2: Class 6

(5) GALLOP QUEEN has shown steady progress across four starts so far with her latest being her best when 3rd over 1200M on September 13th. Tanaka stays on, she is nicely weighted and from a good gate she should be on pace with every chance of going all the way. (4) STORM FIGHTER was slow away at start number two, ultimately finishing back in the pack over this distance. Instead of that, we'll go on his 4th place in a quick race (a long way behind a very good winner), showing promise. With a smoother trip this time, he should go close. (8) NICE GIRL was an improved 3rd at start number two over 1400M on September 15th and a similar effort should see her in the mix here. (11) ROAD TO WIN and (1) RAON FLATTER others to consider for improvement.

Selections   (5) Gallop Queen (4) Storm Fighter (8) Nice Girl (11) Road To Win
Next Best   1, 9
Fast Start   1, 5, 9, 10

Busan Race 3: Class 6

(10) HOLY RUN ran 4th on both his first two starts before running 2nd, a long way behind a very good winner, at start number three over 1300M on September 8th. The slight step up in trip should suit, the wide draw won't be a problem, and he will be favourite to go one better here. (1) DIA MATE is yet to finish any better than 5th, but she has the fastest time among those who have tackled the 1400M already and from a good draw, she may surprise at a probable each-way price. (9) RICH TREE was an improved 3rd at start number two over 1200M on September 8th. He has finished off very well and may appreciate the step up in trip here. (11) WONDERFUL JONES and (4) MISS CROW other sin at least the placing frame.

Selections   (10) Holy Run (1) Dia Mate (9) Rich Tree (11) Wonderful Jones
Next Best   4, 7
Fast Start   3, 5, 6, 8

Busan Race 4: Class 6

(4) MORNING DEW has improved across three starts so far, most recently a strong 2nd place at this distance on September 13th, leading for most of the way before being passed late by a good favourite. He will be on pace here again and will be a short-priced favourite, who may take some beating. (6) SHACKLE LAUD got sent back to trial after his first two starts. He looked very well when leading all the way around in a heat in early September, and if he brings that form to the races, he should be much improved. (7) DAESUNG FLY did nothing in two starts in the final quarter of last year and then had surgery for a chip fracture. She returned to training in June, and she looked very well when 2nd in a quick trial in July. It has taken her a few more months to get to the races so she has to be taken on trust, but she may be worth a try in this limited company. First-timer (9) YULIM SESANG, along with (5) GREAT MARU others in the hunt.

Selections   (4) Morning Dew (6) Shackle Laud (7) Daesung Fly (9) Yulim Sesang
Next Best   5, 2
Fast Start   4, 5, 7, 8

Busan Race 5: Class 5

Fillies only here. (7) DOCTOR ERICA returned from nine months off in August to get her maiden win over 1400M, leading from gate-to-wire. She then raced handy before finishing 5th on her first try at this class, also over 1400M on September 13th. She comes back in trip, she carries a light weight, and third-up she can be peaking here. Also third-up is (11) WIND ABLE. After running 2nd on debut in August, she got her maiden win at start number two on September 6th, racing on pace both times. Both those were over 1000M so she is up in distance here, as well as being up in class and she has the challenge of the widest gate, but she will probably start as favourite here. (9) ALICE MARINE is yet to win in sixteen attempts, but she has no fewer than thirteen top five finishes. Without looking like a winning chance, she should be there or thereabouts again. (8) BEST LEADER and (4) RAINBOW ROAD others in the calculations.

Selections   (7) Doctor Erica (11) Wind Able (9) Alice Marine (8) Best Leader
Next Best   4, 5
Fast Start   1, 4, 7, 11

Busan Race 6: Class 5

(4) WATER DRAGON got his maiden win over 1300M on August 25th in a double-quick time before stepping up to this class and distance for the first time on September 13th and running a creditable 2nd, albeit as an odds-on favourite. He should have benefited from his first experience of this distance, and while Alan Munro is up in Seoul this weekend, Mo Jun-ho can get the job done. (11) BIG MUSICAL STAR got his maiden win at start two over 1400M in June before running 3rd on his first try at this class over 1300M in July. He comes in fresh after twelve weeks off and is up to this trip for the first time, but he looks to have talent and can be a danger. (5) LASER GRIT beat a couple of these on her way to 2nd on her first try at this class over 1400M on September 13th. She comes up to the mile for the first time but her running style suggests it can suit. (3) STEALTH MODE and (10) AWESOME SUNRISE are the others in the mix.

Selections   (4) Water Dragon (11) Big Musical Star (5) Laser Grit (3) Stealth Mode
Next Best   10, 2
Fast Start   1, 4, 7, 11

Busan Race 7: Class 4

(1) RAON VIBE MAN won back-to-back races at 1300M and 1400M in May and June, the latter at this class, before struggling a little when tried at a mile for the first time on August 11th. He's had nine weeks off and back in trip and drawn well, he could prove hard to beat. (2) DANGDAE STAR also won two consecutive races in July and August although in his case it was at classes 6 and 5. He enters off a solid enough 5th place over 1200M on his first try at this level on September 13th. He comes up to the 1400M for the first time, but he draws very nicely and carries a light weight with plenty of potential for more improvement. After a few indifferent starts (5) I AM LEGEND beat a couple of these on her way to 4th place, suggesting she is coming back into form, and she can be a danger. (11) AMUR and (7) DAESUNG DREAM others in the hunt.

Selections   (1) Raon Vibe Man (2) Dangdae Star (5) I Am Legend (11) Amur
Next Best   7, 9
Fast Start   2, 4, 7, 8

Busan Race 8: Class 3

Competitive finale. (1) YOUR TURN is a winner of three from five and is up in class having run 2nd at a mile on September 13th when leading in the closing stages. She comes up to the two-turns for the first time, but she is down in weight, she draws nicely, and she can win. (9) MIRACLE MARINE has six top two finishes from eight starts and enters off back-to-back runner-up finishes at this class and distance, posting the best time among those who have tackled the 1800M for good measure. He carries his fair share of weight here but should be very much in the hunt. It's been a long time since (2) SPICE ECTON was in the winner's circle, but he comes up to this distance for the first time having finished off his recent races very well and he could be a chance. (7) HWANGU FIGHTER and (8) VEREUDA others in the frame.

Selections   (1) Your Turn (9) Miracle Marine (2) Spice Ecton (7) Hwangu Fighter
Next Best   8, 3
