Busan Race 1: Class 4 (7f) Handicap / $43,000

Unusually we don't start with a class 6 but instead have this competitive class 4 affair as the opener. (2) RAON VIBE MAN is a winner of two from six so far and enters off a good score over 6 1/2f on May 26th. He comes up to both this class and distance, but he is down in the weights, he draws well, and he can win again. (6) DAYLIGHT KING did nothing on debut but was a good winner at the second time of asking when stepped up to this distance on June 14th and making most of the running. He carries a full 5kg more this time around, but the manner of that win suggests there can be more to come. (9) WITH SUN won two of four starts before a lengthy absence. He returned at the very end of last year and has shown well in three appearances, most recently a close 2nd at the end of March. CC climbs up and this could be his day, (3) HONORED KHAN and (7) TTANBONG QUEEN others in the frame.

Selections   (2) Raon Vibe Man (6) Daylight King (9) With Sun (3) Honored Khan
Next Best   7, 5
Fast Start   4, 5, 6, 8

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (6f) Special Weight A / $32,000

Juvenile maidens with all but one racing for the first time. It will though be that one with experience who will start as the hot favourite. (2) BREEDO KELLY debuted over 6 1/2f on June 7th and showed on pace before ultimately finishing in 2nd place. She should have come on for that run and will be strongly favoured to go one better here. Among the first timers, (6) WINNER CLEAR came from off the pace in his trial to stop the clock in a fair time and the 6f can suit first up. (5) MORNING DEW raced in midfield before finishing off well in a similar time in his heat and is the other one that catches the eye. (8) ARI DRAGON and (3) HEUIMANG YEOSIN are others who hinted at ability.

Selections   (2) Breedo Kelly (6) Winner Clear (5) Morning Dew (8) Ari Dragon
Next Best   3, 4
Fast Start   1, 2, 5, 6

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (6f) Special Weight A / $22,000

It's hard to go past (1) THUNDER GUY here. Yet to finish worse than 4th in three starts, his best was a very close 2nd over 6 1/2f in April. He likes to race on pace, so draws ideally here, Seo Seung-un remains on, and he will be a short price. After a couple of trials, (4) ARION TAEYANG ran well on debut over 5f on May 31st, finishing 4th in a fair time. With some natural improvement out of that, he can go closer today. (6) RUN TO QUEEN has a best of 2nd from four starts. She has been back to trial since her latest effort and let every step of the way in a heat last Saturday stopping the clock in a fast time. So long as she didn't leave her race there, she can be a contender. The somewhat ungraciously named (5) FAT BOY along with (11) BANGTANUI JEONSA are others who can improve.

Selections   (1) Thunder Guy (4) Arion Taeyang (6) Run To Queen (5) Fat Boy
Next Best   11, 2
Fast Start   1, 4, 6, 7

Busan Race 4: Class 6 (1M) Special Weight A / $22,000

Several of these raced one another over this distance on May 24th and (11) GOAT KING IJI came out on top among them, running a close 2nd having led for much of the closing stages. He had the challenge of the widest gate here but won't need to find much on that latest effort to win this. (10) BABEL DREAMY ran 3rd in that May 24th race having been sent off as the favourite. He also has a 2nd place to his name over the distance and he shapes as the main danger. (5) OASIS RED debuted over this trip back on May 10th, running a fair 4th. He could well have come on for the experience and can go closer second up. (2) ILNYEOM SINHWA and (9) PINHOLE EYE are others to consider for the minors.

Selections   (11) Goat King Iji (10) Babel Dreamy (5) Oasis Red (2) Ilnyeom Sinhwa
Next Best   9, 3
Fast Start   2, 5, 9, 11

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (7f) Handicap / $32,000

Fillies (and one mare) only here. (6) JINJU BIT got her win three starts back over 6f and has since run 5th and 3rd in two outings at this level, both over 6 1/2f. She comes up to 7f for the first time and draws well to be on pace and can potentially lead all the way. (3) DAEJIUIYEOJEONSA is the main danger. She is yet to win in eight attempts but also has never been any worse than 4th. She too tackles the seven-furlongs for the first time, and it could well suit. (5) AWESOME SUNRISE is similarly a maiden after ten attempts but has come close on a number of occasions. She comes up in class here after back-to-back runner-up finishes but looks nicely in and can be competitive. (1) ONE WAY and (9) SKY SHOT are others in the hunt.

Selections   (6) Jinju Bit (3) Daejiuiyeojeonsa (5) Awesome Sunrise (1) One Way
Next Best   9, 11
Fast Start   1, 4, 6, 10

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (6f) Handicap / $32,000

Wide open with not many that can safely have a line drawn through. We'll take chance on (2) LEMON BULPAE, who returned from a four-month absence to finish midfield over 7f on May 31st. He is joint-highest rated so carries his fair share of weight, but he draws well and should strip fitter for that run. (7) MOST RAPID won at class and distance two starts back before finishing 3rd in a quick race on June 9th. That brings him up 3kg higher than when he won but is a big danger. (9) HI CHAMP enters off back-to-back 3rd place finishes and can match or better here. (5) PAN STAR and (3) SUPREME QUEEN among plenty of others with at least placing chances.

Selections   (2) Lemon Bulpae (7) Most Rapid (9) Hi Champ (5) Pan Star
Next Best   3, 8
Fast Start   3, 5, 8, 9

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1 1/8M) Handicap / $43,000

Another tricky one. At the tenth time of asking (7) WONDERFUL KAYLAN broke through when stepped up to this trip on May 26th, racing on pace throughout. She is up in class but carries a very light weight, and she can repeat. The vastly experience (4) WIDAEHAN SEONTAEK may not win out of turn, but he enters in good form with 3rd places in both his latest two. He remains well in at the weights, Franco stays aboard, and he should be there or thereabouts again. (3) MOUNTAIN DADDY ran a slightly below par 6th on his first try at this level on June 6th after bumping at the start. He is a winner at this distance though and looks to have the potential for more development. (6) HAPPY BLUE and (1) HWANGWOO MONEY are others to consider.

Selections   (7) Wonderful Kaylan (4) Widaehan Seontaek (3) Mountain Daddy (6) Happy Blue
Next Best   1, 8
Fast Start   4, 6, 7, 9

Busan Race 8: Class 2 (6f) Handicap / $65,000

(7) FANTASTIC KINGDOM comes in having run a fair 5th on the G3 SROA Chairman's Sprint at Seoul last month. A winner of six from ten and a scorer at class and distance in a fast time in April, he carries his fair share of weight here, but he is the one to beat. At the very least, he'll provide a stern test for (11) CHOEGOUI KKUM. He is a perfect three for three so far with his wins coming at this distance and at 7f and he rapidly comes up to this class. In addition to the significant rise in the standard of opposition, he also needs to tackle the widest gate, but he looks to have lots of potential and should be a threat. (10) YEONGGWANGUI ACE has won both starts since returning from an eleven-month absence and he too comes up to class 2 for the first time. Nicely weighted, he can measure up. (3) HANGANG SAVER and (2) NORTHERN BID others in the frame.

Selections   (7) Fantastic Kingdom (11) Choegoui Kkum (10) Yeonggwangui Ace (3) Hangang Saver
Next Best   2, 8
Fast Start   3, 6, 7, 8
