Busan Race 1: Class 6 (6 1/2f) Special Weight A / $22,000

Having been through several trials, (3) DREAMING BOY made his debut over 6f on May 10th settling midfield and running on for 3rd place in a decent time. He should have come on for that experience, he draws nicely and the slight step up in trip can suit. (8) HAERANG JINJU enters having run an improved 2nd place over this distance in an all-filly maiden on May 10th. She can settle just behind the speed here and can be a danger late on again. (7) DORAON ZETTA has the fastest time among those here who have previously tackled the 6 1/2f. Franco climbs up and she should be aiming to go better than her previous best of 4th place. (9) WE LIKE MONEY and (2) GOLDMASK are other placing chances.

Selections   (3) Dreaming Boy (8) Haerang Jinju (7) Doraon Zetta (9) We Like Money
Next Best   2, 6
Fast Start   1, 2, 3, 6

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (6 1/2f) Special Weight A / $22,000

A very underwhelming maiden. (9) HAERANG YOUNGUNG hasn't raced since running 3rd over this distance back in February but including that result, he has three top-four finishes. He gets the verdict here having run a very quick 2nd in a May trial and if he brings that form to the races, he could be hard to hold out. There are two debut makers and (3) BREEDO KELLY performed fairly in her trial. She draws nicely and with Franco booked, she is worth a chance first-up in this limited company. (1) HOMYEONG JILJU ran fairly for 5th place over 7f on May 12th, his best finish to date and from a good gate – and with absolutely no early speed in this race – can be further forward earlier and bettering that here. (4) GLOBAL SPURT and (8) MY WAY are the other placing hopes.

Selections   (9) Haerang Yeongung (3) Breedo Kelly (1) Homyeong Jilju (4) Global Spurt
Next Best   8, 2
Fast Start   1, 2, 4, 9

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1M) Special Weight A / $22,000

(5) BLAZING MAN has been getting closer across his five starts so far and comes in following the best of them to date when stepped up to a mile for the first time on May 10th and running a solid 2nd place with a couple of today's rivals behind him. In this company, expect him to be on or close to the pace, and he can go one better. He will be a prohibitive favourite. Second favourite will be (9) SEOBU CAPTAIN. He ran 5th behind Blazing Man in that May 10th race when on pace and weakening late. He comes in under the same weight and in slightly weaker company, he should be closer. (1) SUPER KANEL ran 3rd over 1400 at his last start and this is the kind of race the twenty-one-start maiden can find some money in again. (3) AMAZING CURLIN and (2) NANGMAN DAERO are others in the hunt.

Selections   (5) Blazing Man (9) Seobu Captain (1) Super Kanel (3) Amazing Curlin
Next Best   2, 4
Fast Start   1, 5, 6, 10

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (6 1/2f) Handicap / $32,000

Tricky one but we'll go with (7) YEONYEIN. He has mixed his form in three starts at this level since getting his maiden win at this distance but his 3rd place two starts back in a decent time is enough for him to go on top. He can settle behind the speed and run on. (4) SUCCESS BATTLE broke through at big odds at the eleventh time of asking over this distance on May 5th. It was a fast time, and he overcame the widest gate to do it and while he comes up 2kg in the weights, he warrants more respect this time. (3) BLUE CAPTAIN and (1) TOO CUTE GIRL enter having run 3d and 4th respectively when they raced one another at class and distance on May 12th and both can be in the mix again here with the former more favoured. (10) YEONGGWANGUITOUCH another to consider.

Selections   (7) Yeonyein (4) Success Battle (3) Blue Captain (1) Too Cute Girl
Next Best   10, 2
Fast Start   3, 5, 6, 10

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (7f) Handicap / $32,000

Another competitive one. (1) BREEDO PELL got his maiden win at start number three over 6 1/2f on May 17th when leading from gate to wire. He comes up in class and slightly in trip too, but neither should be an issue, and he can win again here. (4) GIANT MARINE was a winner at this distance at class 6 level two starts back before being stepped up to a mile for his first try at this level on May 12th and running midfield from a wide draw. He comes back in trip and into a better gate, and he should be closer this time. (6) JANGSAN LEMON was a very close 2nd two starts back at this class and distance and with an apprentice claiming 2kg, he can be close here. (3) GREAT BOY and (10) DOCTOR NEXT are among plenty of others in at least the placing frame.

Selections   (1) Breedo Pell (4) Giant Marine (6) Jangsan Lemon (3) Great Boy
Next Best   10, 2
Fast Start   1, 3, 4, 8

Busan Race 6: Class 4 (7f) Handicap / $43,000

(6) MAGARITA returned from six months out to run 5th in a very quick race over 6f on May 12th. She may well strip fitter for that run and stepping up to 7f for the first time, she can be a danger. (8) WILD SERVE enters having been an also-ran in the Korean Oaks on May 5th. She is a winner at this distance already and overcame the widest gate to run 4th in a decent time at class and distance in April. She could probably have taken her chance in the final leg of the Triple Tiara in Seoul on Sunday but enters here instead and should be a big threat. (3) AMAZING BOSS also comes out of the Oaks and is one for one at this distance and under a light weight and from a good gate, is firmly in the frame. (1) ALL OR NOTHING and (10) DOCTOR CAPTAIN are among plenty of other placing chances.

Selections   (6) Magarita (8) Wild Serve (3) Amazing Boss (1) All Or Nothing
Next Best   10, 9
Fast Start   1, 6, 8, 9

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (6f) Handicap / $43,000

(3) I WILL THE STAR returns to action for the last time since last October. He is a winner of two from nine, one of them at this distance and he looked well when trialling up in May, running 2nd to a good horse (Dongteuja Boy) in a quick time. If he brings the trial form to the races, he has every chance first-up. (8) MOTHER MOUNTAIN enters off a very quick 3rd place at class and distance on May 12th when racing midfield and running on. She remains low in the weights and the time she recorded that day was significantly quicker than any of the others here have achieved for the distance. (2) HAMPYEONG MAN has plenty of experience at this level and from a good draw should be there or thereabouts. (6) OCEAN STORM and (1) LOUD COLOR are among others in the frame.

Selections   (3) I Will The Star (8) Mother Mountain (2) Hampyeong Man (6) Ocean Storm
Next Best   1, 4
Fast Start   2, 4, 5, 8

Busan Race 8: Class 2 (1 1/8M) Handicap / $65,000

(3) GRAND SUN is a winner of five from fourteen and of both his latest two at this distance and most recently at this class on May 12th when he beat several of these when coming from midfield and running on. He comes up a full 3.5kg in the weights but a hat-trick is not to be ruled out. (9) B.J. CHIEF was a narrow 2nd in that race on May 12th, closing from well off the pace. That followed a solid class and distance 3rd in March, again beating plenty of today's rivals, and he shapes as the main threat here. (4) DUNCAN was a class and distance winner two starts back and while he was on the wrong end of a few of these in that May 12th race, he can be given another chance today. (6) GALLANT WARRIOR and (2) I WILL BE FREE are others to keep safe.

Selections   (3) Grand Sun (9) B.J. Chief (4) Duncan (6) Gallant Warrior
Next Best   2, 11
Fast Start   1, 3, 8, 11
