We'll endeavour to run through the form, incorporate appropriate stats and also supply a betting prediction which won't always just be who will win.

BRISBANE v GOLD COAST

Saturday 13 September @ Gabba

Upsets are everywhere this Final series and why would the biggest Q-Clash be any different.

Sometimes things are meant to be like last year was for the Lions and then sometimes things don't work out.

There were so many weird things in that Geelong game including the much publicised umpires issue.

When Geelong looked to be establishing a dangerous lead, it swung quickly and Brisbane were back level. Then after an all-out attack from the Cats, the Rayner goals occurred.

Now there is no Lachie Neale surely missing for the remainder of the year with another soft tissue problem. You can cover once but not often.

Match Brisbane Gold Coast Ground
Last time they met 9.10 [64] 20.10 [130] Gold Coast
Last 10 matches 8 wins 2 wins
Notes FINALS RECORD: Played 0 – BRS 0/GC 0
Overall record is 21 BRS/8 GC.
In fact GC has only won 2 of the last 14.

Just to add to the pain, their opposition is on such an emotional high. The Gold Coast didn't just appear in their first final, they win their first final with all the drama about the David Swallow kick.

It may not have been a truly clinical effort in Perth but who cares. You just have to count the 'Ws' in Finals.

A bit like Hawthorn having to rebound, the Suns led by near 5 goals, lost the lead and then won it in the last minute.

That big midfield did so many things right. Rowell and Anderson had 66 between them. That is not something teams would want too often.

Momentum is often something that gets overplayed in Week 2 of the Finals and the winning Elimination Final winners go under.

But if they keep their heads, Gold Coast can win here. It might take a real small forward style explosion from the Lions to survive.

Match Selection: Gold Coast by 14 points

Suggested Bets: Gold Coast @ $2.35
