André Fabre is still enjoying a fine time of things of late, operating at a 22% strike-rate for his last 50 runners and it wouldn't be surprising if he sent out another this afternoon in the shape of Tirador, who looks to try and get back to something like the level of form he showed when winning in convincing fashion at Compiegne.

The son of Blue Point had been off the track for most of the summer before returning to Compiegne last month and while he ultimately faded into fifth that day, there were plenty of signs of encouragement having quickened up nicely in testing conditions to take the lead passing the 300m marker. It's also worth noting that the runner-up that day has scored since to give the form some substance.

Back on a sounder surface, which he seemed to enjoy when successful earlier in the campaign, and with that reappearance run under his belt, André Fabre's unexposed three-year-old looks poised to put up a much better showing and he remains a horse to keep in mind for next season.
