Whataboutism (Andre Fabre/Cristian Demuro) Compiegne – R6 – Listed Prix du Charles Laffitte

· Down in grade and races well fresh

· Trainer has been very successful in this contest

· Form is working out well from previous starts

Legendary French André Fabre has enjoyed a long and illustrious career, winning a vast array of prizes in France from maidens to Group 1 events.

He has enjoyed considerable success in the Listed Prix du Charles Laffitte, achieving four winners between 2018 and 2022.

Whataboutism recorded a victory on debut in April and has been gradually brought through the grades, most recently seen in the Group 3 Prix de Psyche at Deauville. She ran respectably to finish fourth, with the fifth-placed Miss Of Change winning next time out to boost the form.

The filly boasts a smart pedigree as a half-sister to Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagadere fourth Campacite and she is out of a Listed winning mare, who performed better on softer ground.

Having been freshened up and dropped in grade for this assignment, Whataboutism is expected to produce an improved performance and given the Black Type in the family, she is likely to record a Stakes victory in the near future.
