- Owners have an excellent strike rate with youngsters
Wertheimer & Frere have another exciting juvenile on their hands to go along with Green Spirit, Elastic and Zaraki.
The leading owners are prolific with their two-year-olds, many of them home-bred, with 16 wins from 42 runners (38.1%) this season.
This Christophe Ferland-trained youngster delivered a perfect performance on debut at Saint-Cloud when leading from the front and then kicking clear 400m and was unchallenged up the home-straight to win by five-and-a-half lengths.
The form from that race is still to work out with the two placed horses yet to run, but further down the field, Cosy Bear has since placed third at Craon on Saturday.
Breeding-wise, the two-year-old is by Lope De Vega and is out of Sea The Stars mare Starifique, who is related to two-time Group 3 winner Ecrivain and current unbeaten two-year-old, and Group 3 Prix Six Perfections winner Green Spirit.
