R5 – Barrière Prix Quincey (Group 3) – Dreamliner - (Stéphane Wattel / Théo Bachelot)

- Unexposed with his true potential yet to be tested

- Progressive and arrives in pursuit of the hat-trick

- Form franked in a Listed win when last seen at Chantilly

Dreamliner has built a smart profile in a short space of time and returns to action tomorrow in the Group 3 Prix Quincey at Deauville - trainer Stéphane Wattel's local course. The lightly raced colt has won three of his eight starts to date and has only been out of the places twice.

He first caught the eye when breaking his maiden in decisive fashion at Bordeaux last year, a performance that hinted at better things to follow. Fourth in the Group 3 Prix la Force at Longchamp in April over nine furlongs, connections have since opted to campaign the colt over the mile where he has flourished, notably avoiding the Prix du Jockey Club route in favour of easier engagements.

A strong winner of a Class 1 contest at Longchamp in May, Dreamliner confirmed that promise when landing a Listed prize at Chantilly in June. That form has worked out well in behind: Diego Ventura, who finished fourth, was runner-up in a Group 3 at Goodwood; Uthred, back in fifth, subsequently picked up a Listed win at Compiègne; while Sahlan, sixth that day, went on to claim the Group 3 Prix Daphnis here at Deauville.

Now tackling Deauville's straight course for the first time, Dreamliner is expected to take it in his stride given his uncomplicated prominent racing style. With a workable draw in stall four, he looks to represent some value in what promises to be a competitive renewal of the Prix Quincey given the market's current partiality for British raiders, and his ceiling is yet to be fully revealed.
