Taking a line out of the third two starts back behind Hadron Collider, that version of Semba (11) would be winning here. Not bad at Kaikoura last time, but better that prior start. Draw works out OK as out of the early rush and with a bit of luck can have the final word in this.

Charging through the line late on Tuesday behind It's Tough and Sideshow Bruce, Double Jeopardy (13) should enjoy a nice slide down in grade here today. Has some work to do from the draw but is superior to almost all of his rivals and without any bad luck he's the horse to beat.
