Oamaru Harness Race 1
7 Sans Repos
High speed pacer Sans Repos (7) offers up a bit of value in the first of the day. An excellent winner here three starts back and two handy enough runs in better company since then too. Just needs to navigate the standing start and be close enough turning for home to reel them in.
Selections: 7-5-10-8-4
Oamaru Harness Race 2
11 Ridge
A brave effort from Ridge (11) when second behind the talented He Aint Fakin at Addington last time out. Back to the stand which is a concern but the unruly should help with that. No doubt the motor is there and with a clean round should be going close in this field.
Selections: 11-1-7-2-4
Oamaru Harness Race 3
12 Fox Terror
On the quick back up from Kaikoura last weekend but Fox Terror (12) is building nicely toward a maiden victory. Finds a pretty winnable sort of race here today too and if able to navigate through the traffic then will be running on stronger than most in this line up.
Selections: 12-3-4-2-5
Oamaru Harness Race 4
8 Fear And Faith
Had to go back from a wide draw at Addington last time out but the run from Fear And Faith (8) post that was exceptionally good. Can be good away from the stand and if she was to find herself in a good position today there wouldn't be many who could match her for speed.
Selections: 8-12-4-13-5
Oamaru Harness Race 5
4 Rena
TIP OF THE DAY
Two forgetful runs since resuming from a spell from Rena (4) but no doubting she's got the ability to win a race like this. Needs to score up well and get herself into the right rhythm but if she does and perhaps finds the front then she becomes the bet of the day here.
Selections: 4-9-5-2-6
Oamaru Harness Race 6
8 Barrytown
Mr Consistency, Barrytown (8) lands in a really nice race this week. Loves to run a placing, or just outside the placings, but is often never too far away. His kind of race today and if he can get into a good spot early and be saved for one crack then he will be hard to stop.
Selections: 8-3-9-5-7
Oamaru Harness Race 7
10 Franco Elvis
The manners went to sea (literally) at Kaikoura for Franco Elvis (10) in a race he looked set to be quite competitive in. We will forgive and forget that because if the same version than ran fourth, then second, in the two runs back from a spell turns up, then he'll be winning here today.
Selections: 10-3-2-5-6
