After a few just below par runs, 4 INTERROGATOR bounced back to some really good form with a bold third at Ashburton a fortnight ago. Is looking a little more tractable in his racing and if he can get into the right spot here, he deserves a winner turn.

Jumped and run in the Darren DeFilippi Memorial a fortnight ago and 3 ROYAL GYPSY will be out to do the same again here. You could argue this race is a whole lot easier than that last assignment and if able to find the front shouldn't really be caught.

Racing with a renewed lease of life this time in 12 HARRY BELAFONTE looks primed to pick up another victory here today in an easier race than a few of the recent assignments. Has to get around a few but should be able to make his own luck and still be too good.

Tough watch for the myriad of punters who have got involved in 4 TACTICAL BID in both runs back from a spell. Was at least going to run second at Ashburton before the gallop. Now domiciled out on the beach at Woodend with Bob Butt and the change of scenery might unlock the manners to match the ability.

One of those horses who always catches the eye but never quite steps up to win, 1 SWEET DREAMS will not get a better opportunity than today. Grabs the ace draw and meets a very even field. With a sweet trip on the fence can slingshot them up the passing lane and grab one.

Impossible to find fault in any of the runs by 11 WHYAMIHERE to open the career and a very tidy effort at Addington on a Friday night at the last start. Needs to get around them all from the unruly but doesn't shirk a good challenge. Nice each way play to end the day.
