Cambridge Synthetic Race 1
1 Anton
Anton (#1) resumes as a 4yo after a string of good runs last campaign without breaking through. He performed well here at this course and distance on debut and had also trialled nicely on the synthetic beforehand. Expect him to roll forward under Jasmine Fawcett and give a bold sight.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 2
2 Electric Zou
Electric Zou (#2) was heavily backed last start and delivered in style over this track and trip. Although he wasn't as sharp away as usual, he finished strongly to score. Should he jump evenly here, he maps to settle just off the speed from a handy draw. There looks no reason why he can't go back-to-back.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 3
1 Colonel Warden
TIP OF THE DAY
Colonel Warden (#1) has been below his best in his past couple of starts despite strong market support. He maps to enjoy a good run just off the speed under Sam McNab and should be given every opportunity to bounce back. The claim brings him in well at the weights, and he looks well placed to find winning form.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 4
7 Rock Hudson
Rock Hudson (#7) was okay late here last start over 970m, but the way he worked home suggested he will appreciate stretching out to 1300m second-up. The blinkers now go on and he should track Belle Noire throughout if he jumps evenly. An improved effort under Michael McNab wouldn't surprise.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 5
4 Trianna
Trianna (#4) was scratched from the meeting here two weeks ago but looks just as well suited here. From the low draw and with Michael McNab aboard, she maps to settle just behind the speed. With clearer running than last start she should take plenty of stopping.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 6
8 Cyber Patch
Cyber Patch (#8) produced a big effort to score here over 1300m last time after working wide throughout. He maps to settle in a handy spot again, possibly trailing Prometheus if both begin cleanly. From there, he looks set to get every chance under Matt Cameron.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 7
9 Haughty
Haughty (#9) has gone under as favourite in each of her past two runs but strikes more suitable conditions here. She should appreciate the even surface as opposed to the Heavy10 tracks she's been on recently, though the wide draw presents a challenge. If she handles the surface as expected, she has the ability to overcome the barrier.
