Te Rapa Race 1
3 Feel The Stag
Feel The Stag (#3) debuts for Stephen Marsh and has trialled sharply in the lead-up. He's shown good early speed in those trials, and from the wide draw with the rail out 12m, they may look to let him roll forward. Strikes an even field first-up but appears to have ability going off his trials.
Te Rapa Race 2
7 Fat Cat
Fat Cat (#7) left his rivals standing when scoring at Waverley last start after holding the front early. From the wide draw, Craig Grylls may look to work across despite pace drawn underneath. If he can find the front or land handy without burning too much petrol, he can go back-to-back.
Te Rapa Race 3
1 Indian Gold
Indian Gold (#1) ran well for 3rd here last start after sustaining a wide run. That came off a six-week break, so he should be better suited third-up on the shorter turnaround. Michael McNab rides and he should get every chance to win.
Te Rapa Race 4
11 Playinasandpit
Playinasandpit (#11) had merit in her run here last start, closing well enough from the back despite not having all favours. She looks suited getting out in trip and can settle closer from a good draw. Leading chance in an even maiden.
Te Rapa Race 5
4 Tisse
Tisse (#4) found the line strongly over 1600m here last start behind Tregor. The step to 2100m looks ideal now he's fourth-up and at peak fitness. Expect another quiet ride from McNab before looking to finish over the top late.
Te Rapa Race 6
7 Diomedes
TIP OF THE DAY
Diomedes (#7) was a strong winner at Rotorua last start after some mixed efforts prior. She maps to press forward and, if she can cross from the wide draw, there doesn't appear much midrace pressure. Well in down in the weights again and can score back-to-back wins.
Te Rapa Race 7
7 Force Of Nature
Force Of Nature (#7) was impressive winning here first-up and should strip fitter for that outing. From the low draw he maps to sit just off a genuine tempo and looks capable of continuing his winning ways.
Te Rapa Race 8
3 Aftermath
Aftermath (#3) resumes since finishing 12th in the Auckland Cup in March. While 1400m first-up is short of his ideal trip, he's trialled well and maps for a soft run from the low draw. Could run a cheeky race at a price if close enough turning for home.
