It might read as a 10th on the formline, but the effort from Major Performer (#3) here in a Winter Rewards final last week was far better than that. Made up good ground in the straight and dropping back into the amateur grade today should have a massive role to play.

Stepped up to Friday night company last time out and Kowhai Sunburst (#10) was far from disgraced in a brave effort for second. Knocking on the door of a maiden win and finds a good option here today. Will get put into the race at some point and should be hard to hold out.

Doesn't win them out of turn Arizona Wildcat (#2) but doesn't throw in too many bad performances either. Nice race for him here today as he should land on the speed and the quality of those chasing isn't up to some of the fields he's beaten in the past. Looks a good chance.

3 Ultimate Seisation
Five times in the money from nine starts suggests that Ultimate Seisation (#3) is more than just an average maiden pacer. Comes in here fresh up off a decent spell with no workouts or trials but astute trainer will have the boxes ticked and should be classy enough to win in the fresh state.

Forced to do work off tricky barriers in the last couple, Lord Mudrick (#4) finds the right kind of race with the right kind of draw today. Always best when up on the speed and looks likely to find a spot there today. That puts him right play.

1 Willy Away
TIP OF THE DAY
They took a shot at the Friday night action with Willy Away (#1) last week and you couldn't blame them after two excellent thirds to open the career. Sixth of sixth at that start but wasn't too bad in behind Riptide. This is a whole lot easier and should be on the speed throughout and hard to beat.

7 Yosemite
Given a bit of a freshen up after taking on a couple of very good trotting filly and mare fields last month, Yosemite (#7) returns here today and should be primed for a big resumption. More speed than anything else in this race and just needs to be close enough turning in.

11 The Bettor Major
The absolute bolter for the day, The Bettor Major (#11) has the ability to handle a field like this and very well do just that if given the opportunity. Capable of reeling off some fast last splits and with a bit of luck in the running could be storming home out wide late.
