Cambridge Synthetic Race 1
3 Side Eye
Side Eye (#3) has taken a while to come to hand this prep, but his last couple of runs over this course and distance have been encouraging. From the low draw and with Tayla Mitchell aboard, he should settle in a forward spot and gets his chance to return to winning form.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 2
12 Belle Noire
Belle Noire (#12) is a 2yo filly from the Forsman stable and looks well-placed in this late-season maiden as a 2yo – a trend we've seen plenty of lately from this stable. Her debut effort was solid before two forgivable runs on wet tracks. Back on firmer footing and likely to lead, she should take catching.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 3
2 Mars
Mars (#2) was dominant winning here two back before striking unsuitable conditions at Ruakaka last start. Back on the synthetic and drawn for a soft trip, she should get the right run to be able to bounce back quickly in this small field.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 4
4 Mivirgo
Mivirgo (#4) was given little chance last time when wide throughout in MAAT company. His previous effort in a similar maiden field to this saw him post the fastest final 200m, and from the low draw he maps to do no work on the fence this time. Can run a cheeky race at odds if the breaks go his way.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 5
1 Hasstobefast
Hasstobefast (#1) maps perfectly here in a race with strong early tempo. Expect her to track the leaders and present at the top of the home straight under McNab. On exposed form, she looks the runner they'll all have to beat.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 6
2 San Simeon
TIP OF THE DAY
San Simeon (#2) covered an enormous amount of ground last start yet still boxed on bravely for third. Joe Doyle now takes over from a low draw, and with a softer trip expected, he only needs to replicate that last effort to be winning this.
Cambridge Synthetic Race 7
6 Poster Boy
Poster Boy (#6) hasn't fired this campaign, but the blinkers go on now fourth-up and he maps to land outside the leader in a race that lacks tempo. Expecting this to become a sit-and-sprint, and he's capable of improving sharply at odds in that scenario.
