Bob Butt lines up the impeccably bred debutant Lexicon here tonight and brings with him some standout trial form too. Looks an early winner and in a field devoid of real standouts here, should be able to make the debut a winning one with manners.

The form line doesn't make for super reading, but break down the recent performances of Bautista and it's easy to make a case for a winning hope tonight. Charging through the line from well back in the field without any luck and just needs that little rub of the green here to salute.

1 Slots 
Too good for them last week, Slots should be able to keep the run going here tonight. Lands the ace here which only advances his hopes, especially given the advantage over main rival Magician. Would expect a dominant display from the outset.

8 Dark Ghana
Without doubt, Dark Ghana is the best horse in this field tonight but his manners of late have been a real concern. Looked to have plenty in store last time before galloping on the home bend. But hopefully those issues have been rectified and if he does everything tonight, he'll salute.

From the first time he stepped out onto a track, there's been plenty of word around for Patriarch. Went down south and while beaten in two runs, showed a lot of promise and now with a bit of time under the belt should be ready to really knuckle down and be a racehorse.

TIP OF THE DAY
Right down the bottom of the book, I'm Rockin might become somewhat of a forgotten commodity in this line up. Brilliant recent form including running second to Always B You here last time in a much stronger field. Bit of work to do from the draw but his class should prevail.

1 Captain Lawless
Plenty of people happy to stand up and spruik the chances of Captain Lawless on debut and there was a lot to like about the effort for second too. Should be better for that outing and if able to hold up from the ace, which with Blair Orange in the bike looks good, should deliver.

One of the real excitement machines of the trotting game through the winter months, What The Dragon will look to cap off a great campaign here. Showing great promise for the future and doing it all so easy, it's hard to see him not in the action if he trots away and leads here.
