Lofty Manuel (#7) made up good late ground for 5th last start at Tauranga and now gets the blinkers on, McNab in the saddle and an extra 200m to work with. Profiles nicely to improve again into her third start and looks the one to beat in an even field.

Bluesweyhooves (#7) has been well beaten in each of her starts to date, but her efforts have had more substance than most in this lineup. The small field suits and the middle draw gives Fawcett options. Leading chance in a moderate maiden.

Cork (#1) was superb when winning the Tauranga Classic fresh and would only need to hold that level to win again here. Jack Taplin's 4kg claim helps offset the 60kg impost. Top pick in a competitive lineup.

Niagara Sky (#9) is on the quick backup from Ruakaka where she didn't handle the track, but she has shown form on Heavy ground before. Third-up and stepping up in trip should suit. A decent each way chance in a very even race.

3 Ocean Road
Ocean Road (#3) was strong late on the Heavy track at Tauranga when second, making ground to the inside of runners in the inferior going. He's now third-up, gets McNab aboard and looks primed to peak here.

4 So Call Me
So Call Me (#4) switches back to the flat after recent hurdle runs, but that fitness edge and staying prowess could be key late in the day on a testing track. With just 54.5kg after the claim, he's one worth keeping safe.
Arawa Park Race 8
3 Dictation
Dictation (#3) comes into this on the back of recent jumping assignments and should be rock hard fit for this. In what will be a war of attrition by this point of the day, he appeals as an each way play at big odds to close out the day.
