Not a hoof out of place lately from Brett's Mate (#8), he's been charging through the line and racing really well. Lands in a very winnable race tonight and even from the tricky draw should be able to make his presence felt on the final stages of this contest.

Coming straight out of one of the hottest maiden fields for the winter here a couple of weeks ago, Arden Seascape (#7) shouldn't take long to notch up a win. Wouldn't have to go any better than that last start run to win this either and expecting a confident drive to get a confident result.

7 Riptide
Another Stonewall runner on top, but predicting a big night across both Friday Night Lights meetings for the leading stable. Riptide (#7) was touted as a nice horse ahead of his debut and he certainly showed that with a brave second behind Berretini. Better for that run and should be good enough to make this race his own.

Hard to remember the last time Cormoran Strike (#6) ran a bad race. Just keeps stepping out and delivering strong performances. Third behind Love N The Port and Empire City and second behind Vertigo in the past two starts so should find this a whole lot easier.

TIP OF THE DAY
The confidence levels of Rockingood (#4) received a much needed boost last time out with a dominant all-the-way win. Penalty free victory too, so stays in the same grade. Should punch forward again and look to lead this field up. Hard to see them catching him either.

5 Four Wise Women
Not completely the fault of Four Wise Women (#5) last week when she galloped after a few hundred metres. Was trotting nicely but just squeezed up enough to put an end to her chances. Went on to trot the fastest late mile by a wee way despite finishing 11th. A clean round and she's well in play here.

5 Slots
Scratched from last week's run, Slots (#5) steps back out tonight and finds a beautiful race to try and snare another victory. Only five rivals and given the dominant form he's been in it will take a good effort to get the better of him.
