Te Rapa Race 1
7 Fierce Flight
Fierce Flight (#7) is making his jumps debut at his third start this campaign. His last start effort on the flat was much improved from his first-up run. He'd have this field covered on flat ability, so it's a matter of trust regarding his jumping. If he jumps cleanly, it's his to lose.
Te Rapa Race 2
3 Duke Of Plumpton
Duke Of Plumpton (#3) has his first jumps run this campaign for Caley Myers, after two moderate flat efforts. He's performed well in each of his three career hurdle starts to date and finds a winnable assignment for his resumption to the jumps scene here.
Te Rapa Race 3
4 Honey Badger
Honey Badger (#4) was given a smart and positive ride to win well at Tauranga in testing conditions last start. Expecting McNab to adopt similar tactics here, either leading or ensuring a genuine speed. This race looks no harder, and a repeat effort likely sees her winning again.
Te Rapa Race 4
1 Leitrim Lad
Leitrim Lad (#1) produced a big effort to hold on last start after going after a tearaway leader a long way from home. With a more conservative ride this time, he should run out the additional 400m and is a strong chance to go back-to-back.
Te Rapa Race 5
9 Lotus
Lotus (#9) was strong through the line on a Heavy10 here last start, suggesting the extra 100m will be no issue. She's now proven on a testing Te Rapa Heavy10 and looks capable of handling the class rise. Happy to stick with her.
Te Rapa Race 6
2 Indian Gold
Tip of The Day
Indian Gold (#2) impressed first-up when storming home from a long way back in testing conditions. Expect similar tactics from the wide draw and the additional 100m looks a plus. Should be right in the finish with a similar run.
Te Rapa Race 7
4 Drop Of Something
Drop Of Something (#4) took a big step forward last start when finishing a close third. Gets a similar setup again and now adds blinkers in place of visor blinkers. Yuga Okubo's 4kg claim will be key late in the day. Each way value.
Te Rapa Race 8
6 Little Bit Of Love
Little Bit Of Love (#6) has been racing better than the formline suggests numerically. He should appreciate a genuinely run 1200m on a tiring Heavy10. Expect him to get back and be finishing on late when others are stopping.
Te Rapa Race 9
4 What A Charma
What A Charma (#4) thrives in testing Heavy10 conditions, as seen in his past two runs. The 4kg claim from Ashlee Strawbridge remains in play and he'll relish the staying test in the last. Looks one of the key hopes to close the card.
