Best bets for the nine-race card at Morphettville Parks on Saturday.
A run-of-the mill Parks card on Saturday but there does look too be a few spring prospects engaged. With fine weather and winds during the week, the track will likely race in the Good range so it won't be a disadvantage to be drawn low and race on or near the speed.
Streetcar Fury was a beaten favourite first-up but he was far from disgraced and I'm buttering up again in R9, where he is the $3.20 favourite.
In that first-up run, he loomed up to win but might have just felt the pinch over the last 100m. With the benefit of that run and from a good draw, he can go forward and race on the speed on Saturday. He'll be hard to catch and I think he will win.
As far as value goes, I'm keen to back Oui Oui Ma Cherie on an each-way basis in Race 3. The filly has been scratched form wide gates and on wet tracks several times since her first-up run but this race looks to set up nicely for her.
She showed ability when thrown in the deep end in some feature two-year-old races and I thought there was plenty to like about her first-up run behind Kalmana, in which she did plenty wrong.
She's got no weight after the 3kg claim and, provided she begins better than she did first-up, she might be able to race on the speed and give plenty of cheeky. I think she represents value at $9.50.
