We're back at Doomben this Saturday with a competitive nine-race card.
Whilst the focus will be on Flemington and Rosehill this weekend, there are still nine opportunities awaiting us at Doomben.
Our best of the day comes up early in the card in the form of Misterkipchoge out of the champion Chris Waller yard.
This son of Ocean Park has been plying his trade in harder Sydney metropolitan contests and looks well placed in this lesser grade on Saturday.
Should be able to take a handy sit from the favourable draw and hoop Rory Hutchings is striking at 20% from his past 35 rides. Currently shopping around the $4 quote and should be right there at the business end.
Our next best is the Tony Gollan-prepared Nettuno in the Open Handicap later in the card.
This six-year-old will be high on confidence following a last-start victory around this circuit four weeks ago and goes well for rider Ryan Maloney who has four wins and a placing from just seven steers.
Another who should get the run of the race from gate two and this race doesn't appear to have much depth. A 1W x 3P type investment should yield dividends.

Race 7 No. 1 Nettuno
