Started odds-on on debut at Pakenham and rated well with some strong late sectionals, but that was on the Synthetic track. There's been no winners out of that race from seven subsequent starters, and now he has to come to Sandown and tackle some smart debutants and a few with solid exposed form.
Sandown: Race 5; #5 Surfin' Bird 
Happy to be against Surfin' Bird, who I think the market will keep on-side, with a very positive map and a strong rating last start. I think that victory had less merit than the formguide suggests, as 5/9 winners on that Geelong card were leading and rails in run and the second horse Tournelle, who was closing late was three-wide, no cover the trip.
Ipswich: Race 6; #14 Sharon Drive
Had a perfect run throughout last start and I thought that was her chance to win again. This race looks harder, so I am happy to risk her here.
GREYHOUNDS
The Meadows: Race 5; #8 Canya Speed
Canya Speed has been in excellent form over the provincial circuits and steps up in distance here. He has been suited by wide draws on those tracks and has achieved that pattern in those races. This time around in foreign territory and less time to build up speed going into the first turn I could see him finding some trouble.
