Best Bets for Belmont Classic Day.
We return to Belmont this Saturday with the reconstructed section of the home straight getting the green light, with the Belmont Classic the feature event.
The three-year-old's will do battle over 2200m with the Oaks form at the top of the market.
Adam Durrant's Fancy Red looks to make it four wins in-a-row following a very impressive performance in the Oaks, heading the market on Saturday and it's easy to see why.
The Oaks ran 1.02 seconds faster than the Aquanita Stakes over the same track and distance on July 12th, with the daughter of Sessions settling back in the run and sustaining a long run to score in the Heavy conditions.
Belmont is expected to be firmer on Saturday which won't be an issue for Fancy Red, though Michael Grantham's duo may be the ones to spoil the party.
Both Lillian and Arcadia Park possess some early speed which may see the cerise and white colours dictate the tempo of the race, making it a sit-and-sprint event which would suit the likes of Arcadia Park.
He won the Aquanita in similar fashion a fortnight ago and with the only other speed being Lano, Grantham's team may look to set things up from the front.

Keen to back a couple of Grant and Alana Williams runners on Saturday with William Pike in the saddle as he looks to claim the National Jockeys' Title.
The return of YORGA LASS is very exciting as the stable no doubt eye a return to feature racing during The Pinnacles later this year.
The 3YO scored first-up last campaign before jumping a $6 chance in the WA Breeders' Classic at Bunbury where she never really got into the race. Whilst disappointing there, the stable tipping her out suggests that something maybe wasn't right with her following that performance.
She showed she was back on song at the trials earlier this month however and she lands in a very suitable race first-up.
Yorga Lass still has plenty of upside and if she can improve as anticipated this time in work, she can start her campaign on a winning note before going on to tackle stronger races in the future.
Another horse first-up for Team Williams and Pike is ESSENTRIC NATURE in race six on the card.
He was very impressive in his first campaign out west, winning first-up over 1100m and scoring in Saturday company as a $1.50 chance before going for a spell. Just 8 starts into his career, he improved sharply last campaign and his trial leading in suggests he has the sharpness to feature first-up over 1200m.
The return date suggests he too may have some bigger fish to fry later this year and while there's some handy types engaged, they're coming off some disappointing performances.
He'll land in a handy position if his lead up trial is anything to go by and he looks poised to pick up where he left off.
