A full day of racing is again in store for Adelaide this weekend but we won't have to wait quite as long this time around for our best bet to compete.
Coming a few hours earlier than last week's best (Wakanjeja), I'm keen on the chances of the W Clarken & N O'Shea-trained Silent Surrente as this weekend's bet365 best bet (Race 4).
The daughter of Fiorente drifted well back last start in the Listed Murray Bridge Gold Cup but did manage to lengthen nicely in the run home and made solid inroads to finish midfield, only beaten 3L.
Getting back out to 1 1⁄4 m looks to suit the five-year-old down the ground - with the mare saluting by 5L at this venue the last time she stepped out over this journey.
Drawn sticky again, Silent Surrente is sure to be winding up late and will prove mighty tough to hold out back in this grade.
As for my best each way chance on the card, I'm confident Dazzling Prospect can progress nicely from an eye-catching first up effort and be fighting out the finish later in the day (Race 8).
The six-year-old will enjoy receiving some weight off his back second up with the slight rise in grade and gets the chance to race more prominently this time with the benefit of drawing the inside marble.
Dom Tourneur is yet to miss the frame in his six starts aboard and now gets his chance to pocket the pair's elusive first win together.
