The Ryan/Alexiou-trained gelding mixed it in Group company last season and will be fitter for two Sydney runs since a spell so will relish both a class drop and a rise in trip.
Brosnan is drawn to get the favours and should be race fit third up so looks nicely placed.
A drop from stakes class sees Roman Aureus better placed in the last of the day.
He was far from disgraced when sixth in the Weetwood last start and had run on to miss by just a head at this course and distance two back.
He makes each way appeal at double-figure odds.
