Racing takes place on the Parks surface for a second straight week this Saturday and while there is no black type racing to spearhead the meeting we have still found two appealing betting opportunities.

The four-year-old had the odds stacked up against her from the outset last start when settling well back in the ruck in the Listed W H Wylie Handicap.

Despite failing to threaten the winner, the daughter of Zoustar did pick up nicely in the run home and made solid inroads before going to the line under a hold when bundled up in a bunched finish.

Dropping back to a trip she relishes, she meets the early favourite Taunting 4.5kgs better at the weights, after only being beaten by 0.6L by the gelding at the latest.

Sweetened has shown she possesses a deadly turn of foot on her day and with the opportunity to take much closer order from the inside draw she should prove very hard to hold out over the concluding stages.

As for the best value play, it comes the race prior where I think Arugamama can run a big race (Race 6).

The Andrew Gluyas-trained mare progressed through the grades nicely in her debut preparation, most notably finishing a narrow third in the G3 Auraria Stakes before tackling the G1 Australasian Oaks.

The four-year-old has been crying out for further in her two runs back and while she is still probably short of her ideal distance, I'm confident Jason Holder can have his mare bustling along late to cause a scare.
