Another quiet day of racing set up for Adelaide this weekend as they head to the Parks surface.

We look to strike early on Saturday where our bet365 best bet of the day comes up in the second event with the Peter G Moody & Katherine Coleman-trained River Noire (Race 2).

The lightly raced four-year-old mare progressed nicely second up at Caulfield when sticking on gamely into the placings behind two horses who have since saluted again (Viviane and Waverider Buoy).

As alluded the form around her has stuck up superbly in her two runs back and she should now be ready to hit her peak third run in as she steps out to a winning trip.

River Noire is a mare that can continue to rise through the grades and this looks a conventional stepping stone.

As for the best value play for the day, we look to the last where in-form gelding Flyway from the Scott Westover yard looks a great each way chance (Race 9).

The five-year-old son of Star Turn has struck a purple patch of form scoring in his last two starts, the most recent by a lip in this grade.

Flyway is dropping back 2 f in trip but did run well over a similar distance four back in what has proven to be a strong form race.

In-form hoop Jake Toeroek reunites with a 2/2 aboard and looks every chance to bring up the hat-trick.
