Rapidly approaching on the South Australian Autumn Racing Carnival, SA racing fans are treated to a cracking meeting with a stack of competitive races and many appealing betting opportunities to match.
It certainly wasn't hard to find horses to make cases for this weekend in Adelaide, the most difficult part was having to narrow it down to two best plays.
Punters should be able to walk away with heavy pockets if they are clever enough to find one or two winners, with value aplenty in each of the four black type contests and so too the rest of the card.
For our best winning hope on Saturday we look to the first of the Listed races on the card where we are with Royal Merchant in the H C Nitschke Stakes (race 6).
Hailing from the very sharp Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable, the three-year-old filly has been in terrific form this campaign and is unlucky not to have more wins to her name.
The Merchant Navy filly clearly carries the superior form lines into this contest, beaten a head two back by the talented Shuffle Dancer in G2 company, before once again falling a head shy last start.
Drawn favourably in barrier 4/16, the filly will again begiving herself every chance up on the speed.
Will take plenty of beating.
For my other best bet on the card, I'm with the resuming I'Mlovin'Ya in the Redelva Stakes (race 8).
Also a three-year-old filly, I'mlovin'ya has already tasted black type success, taking out 2YO Talindert Stakes in impressive fashion at just her second career start.
Although yet to win fresh, the filly has caught the eye at both jump outs in readiness, scoring impressively in both.
She looks to have come back in terrific order for her third preparation and could be ready to really go on with it.
