"Purposely kept him on the fresh side and he did get a bit warm in the yard but he came ot us in good order from Tony Haydon's and we're really thankful for the opportunity to train him.
"We just wanted to set him for this race first-up.
"We gave him one trial with the blinkers, kept him on the fresh side and then put them on today.
"Kyle gave him a lovely ride and we didn't think he'd be that close in the run and he gave him a ten-out-of-ten."

"We didn't expect to be that close. We began really well and we thought we landed in a beautiful position.
"They rolled along at a nice clip and we got going a bit early because he doesn't like being on the inside of horses.
