Winning Trainer: James Cummings
On the win and what's next: "She's racked another solid stakes win, James (McDonald) delivered a perfect ride. She can go to the Sapphire Stakes now in three weeks and she'll be extremely competitive there at set weights and penalties."
On the day Godolphin has had: "Oh it was fantastic. It was nearly mind boggling, but it was fantastic. We've won a Group 1 (with Anamoe), Parisal is a new stakes winner for Astern in Melbourne and then some of the big performances were our placegetters. Pericles was huge running second so narrowly beaten in the Rosehill Guineas."
"The high voltage of the Golden Slipper was there again this year and Cylinder cruised into the race (but) Shinzo was far too good so congratulations to Coolmore and Chris Waller and Ryan Moore. And what about Cascadian? Didn't he throw down a big effort in the All Star Mile (second), he was huge. That was terrific, three stakes winners on the day and our horses have run great races."
Winning Jockey: James McDonald
On dropping back from G1 company: "Really good form obviously Oakleigh (Plate) form into this race, she got a lovely run back to her own sex and she was really dominant. She'll improve off that as well."
On Anamoe being his highlight of the day: "For sure, without doubt. He's just a highlight whenever he steps out."
On the prospect of Anamoe meeting Dubai Honour in the Queen Elizabeth: "It's going to be a race isn't it?"
On getting results on a big day: "Slipper day in general is one of the best days on the calendar. Thrilled with Anamoe and obviously to top it off with a really dominant win. It's always good to cap off a day and start early and ride well throughout these important days. Obviously, it helps when you've got a rockstar in Anamoe."
Beaten Jockeys:
Hugh Bowman (Palaisipan): "I expected a bit more from her to be honest."
Tim Clark (Sky Command): "Had a lovely run. Just didn't finish off."
Reece Jones (Jal Lei): "She has her foot on the till. She is racing really well at the moment. Just found it a bit too quick for her."
Brenton Avdulla (Jump The Broom): "Disappointing. If anything I may have been a fraction close on her. She never came up underneath A bit softer ground might help her."
Jye McNeil (Written Beauty): "Began awkwardly. Had too big of a task ahead of her from back there."
Regan Bayliss (Barossa Rosa): "Just got held up a vital stage. She finished off OK."
Brock Ryan (Nicci's Fling): "She felt a bit flat today."
Brett Prebble (Ausbred Flirt): "Got a little bit held up but probably 6 f a bit sharp for her."
Dylan Gibbons (Meg): "Hit a bit of a rough patch around the 3 f and never regained her confidence."
Tyler Schiller (Hypothetical): "She was very brave. She ran the 6 f very well."
Michael Dee (Duchy Of Savoy): "Tough run. Tried hard."
