"Very well placed by David Payne's team. He found a really nice race for him.
"He's obviously a very well performed horse and proven at the 2000 metre trip.
"Today he was third-up. His first and second-up runs were super. Last start he was beaten a neck carrying 61-kilos so here with 54 kilos, my only concern was the firm track. He really appreciates rain affected ground but obviously David knew what he was doing."
