Say from SA: Morphettville - Saturday, 5th November 2022

A solid card is set for racing in Adelaide this weekend with good sized fields and a few appealing betting opportunities to get involved in.

The best of the day comes in race seven, the Croser Handicap where we see the progressive Hopon Harry going around for the Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas team.

The four-year-old son of multiple Group 1 winner Rebel Raider showed glimpses of his potential last time finishing a close second behind the highly-touted Illation in the Adelaide Gunieas, before going on to salute at Caulfield in his next start.

Super fresh when closing off strongly into the placings at this venue, Hopon Harry followed that up with a solid fourth last start behind a promising winner when well short of a preferred trip.

On the quick turnaround, Harry now steps out to an ideal distance third up where he has one before and will be able to take a forward position from the low draw under the guidance of senior stable-jockey Jason Holder.

Rates the one to beat.

Earlier in the day, in a race void of early speed I'm siding with the Michael Hickmott-trained Exalted Fire to knockoff early market favourite Boolcunda King.

With the option to settle more forward, the five-year-old drops back to a trip she absolutely relishes - with four of her five career wins coming over this journey.

Yet to taste victory in the saddle, talented apprentice Ben Price has been aboard three times for three placings and claims 2kgs from barrier 5.

Hopefully Price elects to go forward on his mount and has too much left in the locker for his rivals when they start launching their challenges.

Bet of the day: Race 7 #12 Hopon Harry @4.20

Also backing: Race 4 #1 Exalted Fire @3.70
