Best From The West: Ascot – 22th October 2022

We have the Belgravia Stakes on this weekend’s agenda as the 3yos set out for the Summer carnival.

You certainly can't be excited if we tip Amelia's Jewel so we'll leave her for now albeit she is better odds than expected.

The following race has a promising horse as Bustler looks to maintain an unbeaten record.

The 3yo by Playing God was happy to sit midfield first up and rounded them up to win by a decent margin in the end.

He will only be fitter again off that and while just needing a little luck early from the draw, in this sized field there should be enough pace to spread the field out.

While not at the same level, as we saw last week in Sydney, beware the unbeaten horse. He could well have an exciting future.

To the staying race we head where Off Wego is finally fit and ready to win now. He can now race on the speed and 1 3⁄8 m won't be a problem now getting down in the weights.

Earlier in the year he won an Esperance Cup and was close in the Geraldton Cup and realistically this is hardly much harder.

With some winning form amongst others, we could well get some decent each way odds as was the case last time.
