Sydney Specials: Rosehill – 3rd of September 2022

Complete stink bomb last weekend with Grace And Harmony and Best of Bordeaux both very disappointing.

Hoping to bounce back at Randwick on Saturday, though we aren't afforded many races to bet in.

Can put a line through both the Highway and the Midway, the third race belongs at the mid-weeks and the Tatts Club Cup could be completely torn apart depending who runs in the Cup at Wyong on Friday.

The Furious is a complete unknown, the Tramway is Zaaki verse the rest (he should just win but no spoils at the price) and the Chelmsford should answer a few questions though again hard to get involved.

The ninth looks a lottery leaving us with two races, the Concord Stakes and the last.

The Concorde Stakes sees the return of Eduardo as he looks to fend off the younger brigade.

A warrior over many seasons, Eduardo was last seen finishing second behind Nature Strip in the TJ Smith Stakes.

In 10 starts, Eduardo has beaten Nature Strip four times, including the Challenge Stakes earlier this year.

No question he possesses the best form, though could he be vulnerable as his results last preparation weren't a true indicator of his form.

He returned ratings of 119, 114 and 119 which is the first preparation that he hasn't broken the 120 barrier since joining the Joe Pride stable, could he be on the decline?

If so it leaves the door ajar for Andermatt who is the supreme box ticker on Saturday.

He is unbeaten fresh (4/4), unbeaten over this trip (2/2) and is unbeaten with McDonald aboard (3/3).

At the weights he looks to get his chance and should land 1X1 from the draw.

The wetter the better and if Eduardo is off his game, he should have the rest covered.

In the final event happy to stick with the Chris Waller trained Wicklow who did the right thing by us last start.

Kept fresh (35 days) since that win, he drops back to the mile and found the line nicely in his recent trial.

Avdulla has won three of four aboard the four-year-old and while Wicklow's record at Rosehill is great (won 4/6), suspect he will be even better at Randwick.

Happy to take on his stablemate Niffler who loses McDonald and now faces a much harder scenario from the wide draw.

Feel Wicklow deserves to be favourite and with even luck he should be hard to hold out.

Simon Dinopoulos' Tips:

Race 5 #8 Andermatt @ $4.60
Race 10 #13 Wicklow @ $5.00
