The old Penny Edition Stakes, which is now the Leon Macdonald Stakes, gives the quality horses a race to aim at and you can imagine there is one horse who would have particular focus here.

Dalasan has run some incredible races at the highest of levels and against the best of horses but amazingly has not won a race since the Chairmans of 2020. Leon would have had him wound up so if the money comes then get on.

In terms of a bet, the last race has a few horses that are capable of punters finding them but Enchantingly resumes after a nice campaign.

First up she won last time in then scored at this track, trip and grade. They took on a tougher How Now Stakes and was more than competitive in Melbourne.

She will be put straight onto the speed from a lovely draw. With a few chances that could get specked, we should do even better than the current market.

Earlier in the day, a runner from a flying stable heads over from Melbourne after a confidence boosting win.

The Price/Kent yard can't do much wrong of late and Commodity only just fell in at Geelong last time but had to be ridden that way.

The 3yo by Capitalist also may not quite have run the distance then so coming back to 6 1⁄4 f, he finds a winnable Class 1 in metro company.

Sitting forward is best on this course and we can trust this stable to place these improvers so well.
