Sydney Specials: Rosehill – 30th July 2022

Before he returned if you were asked to pick which scenario you would like to back Wicklow in, it would be Saturday fourth up over 1800m.

By then he would have all the rust knocked off and would be out to a suitable trip.

As it stands Wicklow was fairly plain first won very well second up before not much chance last start in the slowly run affair.

Prepared to pen that run and he appears very well placed on best form.

Hugh Bowman legs back aboard and he's drawn to get every chance on the inside.

Proven to handle all conditions and his record on his home track speaks for itself with three wins from five starts.

Concedes weight to a few in-form runners however his ceiling appears much higher than theirs.

Sticking with the Waller/Bowman combination in the final event with in-form mare Sur La Mer.

Although unable to bring up the hat-trick last start, she was very game behind her progressive stablemate Frumos.

Beat the rest comfortably and returned a new career peak in the process.

Plenty of speed engaged on paper which plays right into Bowman's hands as he can play the hunter from the inside draw.

A model of consistency she is in career best form and if able to repeat the level of her last start performance she appears the one to beat.

Simon Dinopoulos' Tips:

Race 7 #1 Wicklow @ $3.40
Race 10 #10 Sur La Mer @ $6.00
