2022 CIVIC STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Taksu to take charge ahead of Mariamia at a good tempo. MARIAMIA (12) was a good winner two back before an eye catcher late in the Dane Ripper last start. Returned a new career peak and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again.
TAKSU (11) wasn't disgraced in the BRC Sprint last start and rates highly on his win two back at this track over 6 1⁄2 f. A soft track is more his go and expecting good improvement.
GROVE FERRY (10) mixed his form last time in but is more than capable when right and has to be kept safe in his return. Three trials should have him ready to fire. LOOKS LIKE ELVIS (3) was a good winner at Flemington first up and has to be included off the back of that win.
