Sydney Specials: Rosehill - 6th November 2021

Not a lot on offer at Rosehill on Saturday but hoping we are still able to come home with a few winners.

There looks to be a good angle in third event with the Kristen Buchanan trained Jazzland.

Rock solid in both starts to begin this preparation he should be right at his top third up and looks aided by the step up to 1800m.

First up he was only narrowly beaten behind favourite Shibli who he now meets 8lbs better off at the weights.

From the middle draw he should have no trouble finding the front for Parr and on that notion I found it quite easy to mark him favourite.

Hasn't won in close to 500 days but I don't think he is going to get many better chances than Saturday.

In the fifth event (Country Classic) the Keith Dryden trained Dream Runner appears well placed to return to the winner's stall despite giving weight away to a majority of his rivals.

A model of consistency this time Dream Runner has actually improved with every start and brings strong form into the race.

Game in defeat behind Mightybeel last start, he was solid again behind Yiyi two back and should be aided by the step up in trip.

From the rails draw he should just land behind the speed and get every possible.

The Tim Donnelly trained Kitzbuhel put in a strong staying performance to win last start but has a bit of work to do from the wide draw as while he will press forward he could have to do a bit of work to get there.

Also easy to make an argument that Dream Runner has more to come after adjusting for his closing splits last start.

On the way we do things he has five pounds up his sleeve and if able to run his race more efficiently he has ~2L of improvement at his disposal.

In the big field we should get a true staying test and expect the cream to rise to the top.
