The Executioner To Strike At Kranji

The Jason Lim trained The Executioner appears poised to score at Kranji on Sunday when due to contest the final event.

Formerly trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young in Australia, The Executioner displayed decent ability in his 20 starts, saluting twice and was placed on eight occasions.

He left Australia rated 83 by Timeform and has been given a winnable mark in Singapore.

Kicking off for the Lam stable over 5 1⁄2 f he cost himself the race at the start, but caught the eye late and was certainly a black booker.

Since kept fresh (35 days) he has trialled very well and notably gets the blinkers on for the first time.

The step up to 6 f is another tick just want to see him jump with them.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he appears very well placed in Class 4 company and has good room to move on his first up outing.

The Executioner has placed in five of eight attempts over this trip and with even luck he should prove very hard to hold out.

The Dan Meagher trained Wonderful Knight wasn't disgraced first up behind Makkem Lad and is sure to appreciate the drop back in grade.

He has placed in five of 10 attempts second up and looks very well treated with the added aid of the claim.

Expect him to be prominent from the outset and he shouldn't be far away.

The Mark Walker trained Exdream was hard to miss first up and if able to build on that performance he has to be respected.

A winner of three of his 18 starts, he hit the line well behind War Pride and now looks back on track having struggled last preparation.

Generally saves his best for the turf track, but is more than capable on best form and should be strong late.

Of the rest the Dan Meagher trained Perfect appears the next in line.

An impressive Class 5 winner he has to take a big step on Sunday, but is flying and gets his chance from the favourable draw.

Good luck and happy punting.
