He had finished last campaign in fine form, heading to the paddock off four successive wins and races very well second up with two wins and two placings from four attempts.
He likes the Gold Coast winning twice here and with five successes from nine tries at this distance and a good barrier he ticks plenty of boxes at decent odds.

The unbeaten Alpine Edge looks the value runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
The Team Edmonds colt has been versatile in his two wins to date, both coming at stakes level.
He led throughout to make a winning debut over 5 f in the Phelan Ready but then settled back and ran on too well to land the BJ McLachlan over this distance.
That proved he can run out a strong 6 f and should find a good position from the draw so makes each way appeal.
