Race 3, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R90.000, 13:35GMT+2

Race Summary: This is not a strong field and many are looking to improve. COTOPAXI needed her last run, where she stayed on nicely to take 3rd place. She should be in the shake-up. #2 Rooi Tom, #1 Hertog, #3 Stormy Winter, #7 Dual At Dawn

Race 5, Gallops, 1100m, Turf, R100.000, 14:45GMT+2

Race 6, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R120.000, 15:20GMT+2

Race Summary: RETURN FLIGHT races best up front but will have to fight SEVILLE ORANGE for that privilege. Either could keep going but a fast pace will suit FLICHITY BY FARR who can accelerate smartly in the closing stages. The one they  all have to beat is JET START who has been kept on the boil and is out to claim a hat-trick. PRETTY BORDER will appreciate the drop in distance - respect.

#2 Jet Start, #1 Return Flight, #5 Pretty Border, #4 Flichity By Farr

Wednesday, 22 January

 Race 1, Gallops, 1600m, Poly, R60.000, 12:25GMT+2

Race Summary: Hard race to assess as more than half of these have prior engagements and aren't sure to take their place in this. Of those, GINA'S GIRL makes most appeal on exposed form and will be hard to beat if lining up against these. ROYAL SPLURGE has recently relocated to these parts from KZN and could improve to feature. ALEGRA was fancied on debut and must also be respected.

#5 Gina's Girl, #7 Royal Splurge, #6 First Charm, #9 Alegra

 Race 2, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R60.000, 13:00GMT+2

RUSALKA and stable companion SCOLDING have run their best races over this trip and on that evidence must be included. #6 Pollymania, #4 Rusalka, #2 Time For Launch, #5 Scolding

 Race 3, Gallops, 1400m, Poly, R60.000, 13:35GMT+2

Race Summary: MARK THE DOORMAN has been threatening to leave the maiden ranks and need only overcome his wide draw to belatedly shed his maiden tag. WHAT A PRINCE also has a wide starting berth to negotiate and is closely matched with that rival, so could have a say in the outcome. FORBIDDEN AFFAIR is drawn in pole and will be competitive reverting to this surface. CIDER is worth a mention

#1 Mark The Doorman, #5 What A Prince, #4 Forbidden Affair, #11 Cider

 Race 4, Gallops, 2000m, Poly, R50.000, 14:10GMT+2

 Race 5, Gallops, 1900m, Poly, R50.000, 14:50GMT+2

Race Summary: Good race. WYLIE'S FLAME is unbeaten over the track and trip. She is 1kg worse off with course-and-distance specialist CLOSE TO MY HEART for 1,25 lengths but is progressive and should confirm if making further improvement. The latter beat ROCK STARDOM, ELUSIVE FOUNTAIN, HOPEFUL and NEVERTHELESS last time out and can confirm despite the weight turnaround with those rivals.

#2 Wylie's Flame, #1 Close To My Heart, #7 Elusive Fountain, #5 Rock Stardom

 Race 6, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R50.000, 15:25GMT+2

Race Summary: A race the fillies could dominate. Course-and-distance specialist SEATTLE MERMAID has won her last two starts, both over this track and trip, including a similar contest in her most recent outing. FURLA chased her home on thatoccasion and is likely to pose a threat once more. YODALICIOUS has also been  beaten by the selection recently but is weighted to turn the tables.

#2 Seattle Mermaid, #5 Yodalicious, #11 Furla, #8 The Greek Soldier

 Race 7, Gallops, 1300m, Poly, R65.000, 16:00GMT+2

Race Summary: Course-and-distance BELIEVETHISBEAUTY bit off more than she can chew in a far stronger race last time but deserved a shot at that level given her prior form. She's prolific over this track and trip, proven in this grade and drawn well in gate No 3, so there's a lot to like about her chances. SAIL SMARTLY won well on local debut and with improvement should pose a threat.

#2 Believethisbeauty, #1 Pick Again, #3 Sail Smartly, #5 Okavango Delta
