GREYVILLE

Race 1, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R100.000, 12:40GMT+2

Race Summary: JOZI HUSTLE has finished runner up in his last two and can improve on his previous poly runs to win from draw one. But CHIEF OFFICER has finished ahead of him and has drawn very well so it could get close again. The latter is racing after rest. KING CYRUS is having his third run after rest and could bridge the gap on merit ratings. More can improve - follow the betting.

Selections:
#2 Chief Officer, #1 Jozi Hustle, #3 King Cyrus, #6 Ramsay

Race 2, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R105.000, 13:15GMT+2

Race Summary: PRINCE OF VENICE hasn't been far back in the Highveld but has done well racing in this coastal region. He has a plum draw and could make them all chase hard. WOLFGANG won well last but is up in task. He is weighted to beat PRINCE OF VENICE on a previous meeting. LESLIES PATHTOFAME is back to his best track and trip and has a flying finish - watch out. More useful sorts here.

Selections:
#2 Prince Of Venice, #3 Wolfgang, #7 Leslies Pathtofame, #5 Winter Blues

Race 3, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R100.000, 13:50GMT+2

Race Summary: ASTUTE VISION is rounding into her best form and looks well placed. She can open her account from a better draw today. GLITTER AND GOLD was a bit disappointing last time but has finished runner up in previous runs on the  poly and could get it right. FAST AS SILVER isn't consistent but can also boast a runner up finish on the poly. NOBLE FREEDOM must have a say.

Selections:
#5 Astute Vision, #7 Glitter And Gold, #4 Fast As Silver, #8 Noble Freedom

Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Poly, R75.000, 14:25GMT+2

Race Summary: GUADELOUPE may not have drawn well but on her best run she rates a dangerous customer. That run was on the poly and she looks to be meeting a weak field today. CHROME GYPSY did well from a wide draw last time and is maturing. She can find that bit more to win. MARRY IN HASTE is the dark horse. She was not disgraced in her one poly run. BELLAWOOD can start improving now.

Selections:
#11 Guadeloupe, #7 Chrome Gypsy, #5 Marry In Haste, #3 Bellawood

Race 5, Gallops, 1900m, Poly, R100.000, 15:00GMT+2

Race Summary: DANCINGINTHEWIND has shown decent work in the Highveld. She has done well at two different tracks but may really be looking for the poly and could revel here. KING JULIAN should have scored by now. He was a good second last time and can go on to make amends. RAIN DANCE suddenly showed on the poly - watch out. COURAGE TO CONQUER improved with blinkers fitted.

Selections:
#1 Dancinginthewind, #2 King Julian, #3 Rain Dance, #7 Courage To Conquer

Race 6, Gallops, 1700m, Poly, R105.000, 15:35GMT+2

Race Summary: JACKSON WELLS ran out an easy winner first time on the poly and her previous form line has also been franked. With improvement to come she rates a big chance. CONNECT ME is a hard knocker and could give her a hard time. Take the swinger bet. CLASSIC GUARD, stable mate to JACKSON WELLS, is back on the poly and can show up boldly today. PHILAE suddenly improved last time.

Selections:
#3 Jackson Wells, #4 Connect Me, #1 Classic Guard, #5 Philae

Race 7, Gallops, 1400m, Poly, R110.000, 16:10GMT+2

Race Summary: RALPH THE RASCAL quickly joins the higher division after just winning his maiden. But he was impressive and can keep improving. SPRING FLING is a dangerous runner on the poly. He didn't get the best of passages last time so can exact revenge today. VINSON is another that enjoys this surface. He is rounding into top form. KAROO LARK and MOUNT ANDERSON have scope.

Selections:
#7 Ralph The Rascal, #5 Spring Fling, #6 Vinson, #2 Karoo Lark

Race 8, Gallops, 1200m, Poly, R90.000, 16:45GMT+2

Race Summary: Wide open event. THE PRIVATE, MOKOKO and AGENT MURPHY should all finish on top of each other again. The last mentioned set the pace last time and dropping in trip could see him time it right. THE PRIVATE is finally coming back to best while MOKOKO may just prefer a bit more but is not one to take lightly. CANDLE COVE could show more after an improved sprint.

Selections:
#5 Agent Murphy, #7 The Private, #4 Mokoko, #12 Candle Cove

Best Win: #3 JACKSON WELLS
Best Value Bet: #5 AGENT MURPHY
Best Longshot: #5 AGENT MURPHY

FAIRVIEW

Race 1, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R60.000, 12:40GMT+2

Race Summary: Modest maiden. Well-bred MARMARA SEA flattered to deceive when trained on the Highveld but could have more to offer in these parts, so is worth retaining. Stable companions SURFIN' AFRICA, GREY FERRARI and CROISADE DE VERITE could have roles to play if building on recent displays. Newcomer GRACEFULL STAR needn't be special to have a say in this either. Competitive.

Selections:
#1 Marmara Sea, #5 Croisade De Verite, #3 Surfin' Africa, #7 Rusalka

Race 2, Gallops, 1200m, Poly, R60.000, 13:10GMT+2

Race Summary: LINDA LOVES LACE brings fair West Cape form into the East Cape ranks. Rated to win she should be hard to beat even if racing after rest and racing on the poly first time. HOLLYWOOD THUNDER has finished runner up in her last three on the surface and could be hard to fight off though. BELFAST CHILD ran well after a slow start and has ability. Needs to jump on terms on poly.

Selections:
#1 Linda Loves Lace, #2 Hollywood Thunder, #7 Belfast Child, #4 Stavros Christos

Race 3, Gallops, 1600m, Poly, R60.000, 13:40GMT+2

Race Summary: PRECIOUS JEWEL is maturing now-her last run was decent. She has drawn better here and can go on to record a victory. ELUSIVE GREEN wasn't disgraced over this course and distance earlier and is better than her recent form. She is back over the mile and may prove dangerous. WINTER IN MOROCCO had excuses last time and will be at a peak-respect. More can improve on the poly here.

Selections:
#4 Precious Jewel, #5 Elusive Green, #1 Winter In Morocco, #2 Marmalade Cat

Race 4, Gallops, 1900m, Poly, R50.000, 14:10GMT+2

Race Summary: The last time JURIST and TOM 'N JERRY met it got close when the pair ran second and third behind Samar. Both had excuses there but from the best of the draw the latter could take advantage. JURIST also jumps a bit slow as well but nevertheless both should add to their one win tally shortly. PINCH POT came alive with blinkers last time and needs to be watched. More can earn.

Selections:
#2 Tom 'N Jerry, #1 Jurist, #3 Pinch Pot, #5 Deep River Woman

Race 5, Gallops, 1000m, Poly, R70.000, 14:45GMT+2

Race Summary: BIG BAY just needed his last run after rest behind ALOYSIUS but the latter ran out an easy winner and and could build on that performance here. AMBRA was more of a threat there and with BIG BAY should also give him a hard time at the weights. BARBARELLA NIGHTS is in good form and must be respected. CASUAL WAR improved in the Highveld last time and could enjoy the poly.

Selections:
#3 Ambra, #4 Aloysius, #9 Barbarella Nights, #1 Big Bay

Race 6, Gallops, 1200m, Poly, R55.000, 15:20GMT+2

Race Summary: After finishing second best in a stronger field from a bad draw BENEFICIARY must rate the form choice. She has much better draw today and can continue on an upward trend. TRAP QUEEN ran out an easy winner in Kzn on the poly and  needs to be considered from draw one with a 4kg claiming apprentice. It has been an age since LADYSMITH won her first race. Respect on last run.

Selections:
#2 Beneficiary, #3 Trap Queen, #6 Ladysmith, #1 Great Achievement

Race 7, Gallops, 1300m, Poly, R65.000, 16:00GMT+2

Race Summary: FEE FI FOE FUM was impressive when winning her local debut on this surface and a resultant 6-point penalty may not be enough to prevent her from following up, with the extra likely to suit. MASTER NEWTON loved being back over this trip last time. He had to overcome a wide draw there and could get a better passage today. ULTRA BOOST is holding form and could enjoy the extra.

Selections:
#1 Fee Fi Foe Fum, #2 Master Newton, #3 Ultra Boost, #5 Lion King

Race 8, Gallops, 1300m, Poly, R60.000, 16:35GMT+2

Race Summary: STEP LIVELY is talented but when in the right frame of mind, she can misbehave at the start. She has everything in her favour again and can make amends. Stable mate ELUSIVE DIVA will take full advantage if the former fluffs her lines. She was a close second to a useful poly specialist last time. QUAKESHAKE is in good form and rates a danger from a plum draw. More holding form.

Selections:
#2 Step Lively, #5 Elusive Diva, #4 Quakeshake, #3 Love Talk

Best Win: #1 FEE FI FOE FUM
Best Value Bet:
Best Longshot: #2 BENEFICIARY

DURBANVILLE

Race 1, Gallops, 2000m, Turf, R70.000, 13:05GMT+2

Race Summary: Small field but very competitive. NIGHT SONG is the only runner with experience beyond 1600m and will prove hard to peg back if allowed his own way. Hewas only caught late having led for much of the way when trying this trip last time and in this small field could again dictate. ANECDOTE, PANNINGTON and SUDDEN STAR have solid form credentials and scope to improve this trip.

Selections:
#3 Night Song, #1 Anecdote, #4 Pannington, #5 Sudden Star

Race 2, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R80.000, 13:40GMT+2

Race Summary: Good race. QUICKSTEP LADY stayed on well to finish 2nd in a stronger race over shorter last time when fitted with blinkers. She was behind REWRITE THE STARS in an earlier meeting but did have excuses on that occasion, so with the headgear retained could set the record straight. The latter will be competitive though under a light weight. DANCING SALLY has winning credentials too

Selections:
#3 Quickstep Lady, #2 Dancing Sally, #6 Rewrite The Stars, #1 Secret Depths

Race 3, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R70.000, 14:15GMT+2

Race Summary: LADY WYLIE fluffed her lines over 1200m last time having threatened to shedher maiden tag in three previous starts over that trip. She has scope to improve over this trip so could be worth another chance. A return to this distance with blinkers fitted should also bring about a competitive showing from O SOLE MIO - danger. WATCH ME NOW and HOPE AND PRAY have earning potential.

Selections:
#1 Lady Wylie, #4 O Sole Mio, #5 Watch Me Now, #2 Ryanair

Race 4, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R70.000, 14:50GMT+2

Race Summary: TAMBORA went closest to opening his account in his only start at this venue and, with Fourie back in the irons, is worth retaining despite a disappointing last start. Both MIDNIGHT BADGER and NIXON have scope to improve and are unlikely to be far off the mark. Well-bred LEGACY LANE could be anything after a rest and would have come on after gelding, so must be respected.

Selections:
#1 Tambora, #2 Midnight Badger, #3 Nixon, #7 Legacy Lane

Race 5, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R82.500, 15:25GMT+2

Race Summary: Intriguing handicap but the 3yo brigade could hold sway. YORKTOWN caught the eye when returning from a rest, during which he was gelded, and with improved fitness should have more to offer. Promising WORLDS YOUR OYSTER is also likely to improve over the extra so could remain unbeaten. Impressive last-start winner ROYAL RETURN is on the up too. BERNIE and PINK FLOYD have claims.

Selections:
#3 Yorktown, #7 Worlds Your Oyster, #6 Royal Return, #5 Pink Floyd

Race 6, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R70.000, 16:00GMT+2

Race Summary: Tricky. PIPPIELANGKOUS wasn't winning out of turn when making all at this level in open company last time and should go well again, despite a resultant penalty, against her own sex. VODKA LIME is closely matched with that rival and likely to be in the shake up. MY WICKED WAYS and FOURS A CROWD both have the means to play a role. VELVET DAWN, QUEENSBARNS and others have claims

Selections:
#6 Pippielangkous, #3 Vodka Lime, #5 My Wicked Ways, #9 Fours A Crowd

Race 7, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R55.000, 16:35GMT+2

Race Summary: RONALDO was a good second at Kenilworth over this distance. He has run and run well at today's track so should have every chance. RADIANT LOVE is bred for this longer trip and could make amends for his last run where he came in for a lot of support. He is still learning how to race. It could get close between KING OF THE MOMENT and DOUBLE CHARGE. NAUGHTY BOY can upset.

Selections:
#2 Ronaldo, #1 Radiant Love, #4 Double Charge, #3 King Of The Moment

Race 8, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R65.000, 17:15GMT+2

Race Summary: FLATWARE got the better of BIG SUZE and FLASH FIRE in a similar contest over this trip then backed it up with another solid effort last time, when just missing out in a slightly stronger race under a two-point penalty. Those rivals should pose more of a threat on these terms but have less scope for improvement. Consistent fillies ROCK TRIP and GREY PRINCESS has claims too.

Selections:
#6 Flatware, #1 Big Suze, #9 Flash Fire, #3 Grey Princess

Best Win: #6 FLATWARE
Best Value Bet:
Best Longshot: #6 PIPPIELANGKOUS
