King Louis To Rule Kranji

King Louis will take good improvement from his first up effort when he lines up in the Kranji Stakes B over 1600m on the Polytrack on Sunday.
The Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner finished last campaign with a second placing in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas (1600m) before resuming with a solid enough effort when fourth in a Kranji Stakes C.
King Louis should take good improvement from that effort and despite stepping out on the Polytrack for the first time, he rates well clear of his rivals in this field today.
The four-year-old gelding has trialled since his last start effort running second to Mr Clint over 5 f and on what he has produced to this point you would expect him to go on and win stronger races than what he takes on today
King Louis will get a nice run off the speed from barrier 3 and with the blinkers off again and he certainly looks the one they have to beat in this field.
Target gets back onto the Polytrack where he has a good record following a last start second placing over 1 1⁄4 m in a Kranji Stakes B.
Drops back to the mile where he has won previously and from barrier seven should roll forward and put himself in the race again.
There was a lot to like about his last start run and although dropping back to the mile today he is a better horse on the Polytrack and expect him to be in this for a very long way.
Sky Rocket is another that comes into consideration back in grade following a modest effort behind Jupiter Gold in Group 1 company over 1 1⁄8 m last start.
Has since trialled over 5 f and is another that will line up on the Polytrack for the first time in his career.
Vlad Duric who won on the Stephen Gray gelding two starts back will go back on board and this shapes up as a much easier task to what he took on last month.
Sky Rocket has not won a race past 7 f but is lightly raced with just the eight runs to his name and he has shown enough to suggest he can run into the finish.
Gold City continues to race consistently well featuring in the placings her last five outings including a Kranji Stakes C win over 1 1⁄8 m two starts back.
Last times he lined up on the Polytrack he finished runner up over this trip and although coming up against some handy galloper its hard to knock her recent efforts.
Placed in both previous outings over the mile and could offer each way value for punters.
Good luck!
