Corey Brown Misses Out In Shergar Cup

Australian jockey Corey Brown failed to ride a winner at the Shergar Cup at Ascot on Saturday, with his best effort a third place finish.
Brown, riding for the Rest of the World team, finished third on Zwayyan in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Mile.
The Girls Team comprising Hayley Turner, Holie Doyle and Josephine Gordon beat three other teams to win the annual international jockey series.
Their anthem for the day was The Pointer Sisters' classic hit "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" and that’s exactly what they did as they amassed 76 points, six clear of Team Europe on 70 points.
The Rest Of The World team that included Brown and Joao Moreira finished with 48 points, two ahead of the Great Britain and Ireland team.
Hayley Turner won the Alistair Haggis Silver Saddle trophy with 39 points. She beat the Rest of the World’s Moreira by a point for the individual prize.
Moreira rode a double for the Rest of the World team.
The Girls captain Josephine Gordon said: "Today proves that girls are better than boys! It's brilliant to compete against the best jockeys in the world.
"Today's been really good fun and it's one of the best days of the year. We've thoroughly enjoyed our day and it's great to win.”
