Brisbane Best - Doomben - April 21

Savwell will look to build on his strong recent form when he lines up in the Benchmark 75 Handicap (1600m) at Doomben on Saturday.
The David Vandyke-trained runner put three wins together earlier in the preparation and has not been far away in two outings since.
Drops back slightly in class today off a last start fourth to Xebec over 1 3⁄8 m and should also appreciate the drop to the mile where he has a good record.
Battled on well to finish third over this C/D two back in a Class 6 and from barrier two today should get a very nice run off the leaders.
Damian Browne who is undefeated from two rides goes back on board for this and the $4.60 on offer looks a good bet for a horse with his current form.
With only nine career runs to his name, the son of Savabeel still has plenty of improvement to come you would think and this looks a nice race for him to return to the winners circle.
Later in the day Aqua Vite shapes up as a solid each way bet to make it two wins in a row in the Ascot Tails Stakes (1600m).
Returning with a good run for third in the Listed Goldmarket two starts back, Aqua Vite went on to score a narrow win over the 6 3⁄4 f at this course last start and goes up to the mile where he has a good record.
Yet to miss the placings from two previous outings when third up and won well over 1 1⁄8 m at the Gold Coast when third up last campaign.
Aqua Vite will need a bit of luck from the wide draw but he is going as good as any in this race and the $8.50 on offer looks a good each way bet.
Good luck!
Bet of the day: Race 4 #2 Savwell $4.60
