Brisbane Best: Doomben - February 24

Fortensky got the job done for us last week at the handy odds of $6 and happy to stick with the Chris Waller-trained runner on the quick back up at Doomben on Saturday.
Having had no luck at the start and getting a long way back in the run, Robbie Fradd who remains on board today was able to get the best out of Fortensky over the concluding stages for a narrow win over Jadentom.
That win came on the back of some strong Sydney form and he has now won three of his four outings this campaign, running second at Randwick on the other occasion.
From barrier seven, Fortensky remains over the 6 3⁄4 f and with plenty of rain around Brisbane at the moment he is proven on soft and heavy tracks.
Goes up to Open company from a Class 6 last start but also drops 3lbs in weight and there is no reason he can’t go on with it today.
Plucky Girl does shape up as the main danger off some strong winning form as well but Fotensky has shown previously the seven day back up is no trouble.
Taking less odds then we did last week but the four-year-old gelding looks to have settled in nicely in Queensland and looks hard to go past again.
The following race will see Tversky looking to continue his strong recent form when he lines up in the NMW over 6 f.
Kicking off the preparation with two wins, the Gary Duncan-trained runner then went on to finish third over 5 f at the Sunshine Coast last time out in open company.
Despite not possessing the best record over the 6 f trip, Tversky has been far from disgraced in three previous runs over the 6 f trip and he is also undefeated from two previous runs on a heavy track.
Current price of $4.40 looks a decent price in this field and hopefully on the back of a win the previous race, Robbie Fradd will look to be positive from the wide draw and take plenty of running down.
Good luck!
