The Caulfield Guineas program is generally considered as one of the best meetings seen through the course of a season in Melbourne each year and Saturday’s ten race card at Caulfield does not disappoint.
Four Group 1’s grace the card on Saturday with the first of them the Thousand Guineas (1600m).

Alizee is a $2.10 favourite and deservedly so as she looks to follow in the footsteps of Guelph (2013) and Global Glamour (2016) and claim the Flight Stakes – Thousand Guineas double.
Her stiffest opposition will come from the Thousand Guineas quinella of Booker and Shoals with Blinkers applied for the first time.
The quadrella commences with the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes (2000m).
A fortnight after running the quinella in the Underwood Stakes, Bonneval and Hartnell again look set to fight out the finish.

After starting as favourite in the Underwood Stakes, Hartnell has relinquished favouritism to the New Zealand-trained mare who is a $2.90 top elect on Saturday.
It could be worth employing at least a market watch on the Coolmore raced The Taj Mahal with the Group 1 placegetter making his Australian debut.
The Caulfield Guineas is shaping as an open three-year-old contest.
Catchy will look to become the first filly in 41 years to claim the Caulfield Guineas after Surround beat the boys way back in 1976.
She is second favourite for the event behind Royal Symphony while Kementari sits just behind Catchy as third favourite after placing in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude.
After a string of Set Weights events, Caulfield returns to handicap conditions with the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m).
It is shaping as a case of Sydney form versus Melbourne form with Chris Waller-trained runners Egg Tart and Tom Melbourne at the top of betting.
Theanswermyfriend and Mr Sneaky profile as the pick of the Melbourne runners each coming out of the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.
The final event of the day is the Group 2 Schillaci Stakes (1100m) where the consistent Sheidel profiles as a standout in the last leg of the quadrella.
The consistent mare fell just short of victory in the Moir behind She Will Reign last start.
Her third distance and course credentials have Sheidel shaping as hard to beat.
For those searching for value late in the day, Ball Of Muscle and Hellbent could be options, each at $10.
Spring Racing is underway and UBET is offering Real Money Back up to $50 if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd in Races 1-5 at Caulfield and Randwick this Saturday! Click Here
