Lindsay Park Splits Top Fillies

The Lindsay Park stable has decided to split top fillies Tulip and Formality when they start their Sydney campaigns this month.
Formality, winner of the G3 Chairman’s Stakes at Caulfield last season, will be sent to Sydney this week to compete first up in
Saturday’s G2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick.
Formality also finished third in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield in February won by stablemate Catchy and was second in the G2 Percy Sykes Stakes at Randwick in April.
She defeated Tulip and Catchy in a Cranbourne barrier trial on August 8.
Tulip, winner of the G3 Magic Night Stakes before she finished third, promoted on protest, in the G1 Golden Slipper, will be reserved for a first up tilt at the G3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on August
Tulip was spelled after she finished fifth in the G1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Randwicm in April.
Catchy will resume in Melbourne on Saturday in the G3 Quezette Stakes at Caulfield where her opposition will include the unbeaten Shoals from the Lee and Anthony Freedman stable.
Shoals progressed from a debut Seymour maiden victory last February to wins in the G3 Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes at Flemington and the G2 Percy Sykes Stakes at Randwick during the autumn.
