Short Trial For Classic Winner Egg Tart

Exciting classic winner Egg Tart will begin her spring build up with a barrier trial at Warwick Farm on Monday.
Trainer Chris Waller entered Egg Tart for two trials on the course proper on Monday over 4 1⁄2 f and 4 f and has elected to start the 4YO mare in the shorter heat.
Egg Tart emerged as a top class filly last season when she won all five starts during the autumn in NSW, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Her rise culminated with successive G1 wins in the Australasian Oaks (2010m) at Morphettville and the G1 Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Doomben.
She will face a big field in Monday’s 4 1⁄4 f trial for Group and Listed horses including crack sprinter Spieth, young stars Condor Heroes and Dissolution and her Chris Waller-trained stablemates Mackintosh, Dawn Wall and McCreery.
There are two 4 1⁄2 f trials for Group and Listed horses on the course proper on Monday. Those heats feature major spring contenders Inference, Omei Sword, Ugo Foscolo, Ecuador, Stampede and Heavens Above.
The unbeaten Godolphin 3YO Viridine will attract attention in his heat against his own age over 4 f on the inside track.
