Brisbane Best: Doomben - August 5

Star Reflection heads north for trainer Kris Lees and looks to have found a very winnable race at Doomben on Saturday.
The five-year-old mare has now placed in her last five outings against some decent opposition and was not too far away when runner up over 6 f at Canterbury last time out.
Goes up in trip to 6 3⁄4 f for this where she has a terrific record and despite the 131lbs if she runs up to her last start effort she will be too good for these.
Star Reflection should find herself just behind the speed from barrier 5 and despite coming up against a few handy mares she looks very hard to hold out.

Later in the programme Ignite The Light will look to build on his strong first up win when he goes up in grade.
The Tony Gollan-trained runner who has shown good ability in his short career, led all the way to win by just under seven lengths at Ipswich last start and looks well suited off that effort.
Drawn well again today in barrier 3, the four-year-old gelding should roll forward again with Jim Byrne on board and lands in a very winnable race.
Ignite The Light is certainly a horse on the rise with only eight previous starts to his name and he certainly does his best racing over the 6 f journey.
Current price of $4.50 looks a good price on what he did first up with Havasay also off a first up win the main danger but might just find a bit of trouble if he gets too far back from the inside draw.

Good Luck!
